I have what may be a really stupid question, but I hope you guys will forgive me.
I spent many hours playing Diablo/Diablo II in college, and want to replay the games in anticipation of Diablo III.
The problem is that I have all of my old CDs (naked, no cases, which is where codes seem to be placed these days), and none of the manuals. Are codes required for installation, or will I be good with just the CD?
I also have my old Hellfire CD, and it seems to be very rare/expensive. I would rather not buy another copy of the game if I don't have to,but since I don't have any sort of unlock code/license key I don't know if I need one.
I'll be doing this as strictly a single player thing, so I'm not concerned with Battle.net access--I just want to be able to play the games.
Can anyone please tell me if I'll have to buy new copies of the games to get install codes, or am I good to go with just the CDs? It has been such a long time since I played that I don't remember the install process.
