Poison question

If you hit a monster 2 or more times with the same poison damage, do they stack potency or does it just reset the duration timer?

Is it worth spamming Poison Nova for instance, or just get em once and run away?

It's not worth spamming Poison Nova to poison the same target: any increase in damage would be negligible and it would cost a lot more mana.

Poison damage from multiple attacks doesn't stack. The rate of the new poison is applied for one frame, and then if this rate is equal to or greater than that of the old poison, the rate of the new poison will continue to be applied for its length: otherwise the rate of the old poison will continue to be applied for its length. Rates are compared after all modifiers have been applied.

Rate is damage per unit of time (in seconds or frames).
