Full Trang Set cast speed bug?

I just got my friend the full trangs set last night, mainly to compell him to play his necro again, which it did. We were pretty excited about it, but were pretty let down when he started spamming his poison nova and noticed it casts substantially slower than it did when he was using his old gear, which had less FCR than Trangs has. Is this just a graphical error, or some kind of latched on side effect of the transformation into the ghoul? It would be very sad if this was just how it was, and a very big sacrifice to the strength of the character just to look (arguably) cooler.

It's a known bug, not quite sure why it occurs tho.

If you complete this set the Necromancer will transform into a Vampire in appearance. He will also get skills such as Meteor, Fire Wall, and Fire Ball. This set certainly allows the wearer to have some fun with other players. Note: wearing this set will increase casting delay resulting in slower casting (even with fast cast items). This is a bug and has been reported.

It is a big sacrifice but you are getting a lot of nice bonuses too...

Wow...I can't believe that. Why should Necros have to suffer for their set bonuses when no one else does? That's just moronic. And that blizzard has never done anything to address this is just laughable. What a massive buzzkill to my friend. Think the next ladder reset/patch will address this?

why would you need fcr as a trang novamancer anyway? nova lasta between 2-4 seconds, depending on your facets and death's web. did you find a +2 skill teleport charged amulet or something?

I play full Trangs poison necromancer. I’m level 79 in Hell Difficulty.

It is slow, but I don’t care.

Casting fire wall and meteor takes time. The only thing you could possibly gain by a FCR is fire ball.

My build:
20 Dagger
20 Poison Explode (+ prereqs)
20 Nova
1 to Fire Golem (+ prereqs) I like the Fire Golem’s aura damage even though people call me a noob for using him. When I find a good weapon I make an Iron Golem. When I’m fighting a boss I use Decrep and Clay Golem.

1 Golem Mastery, 1 Summon Resist.

20 Lower Resist (+ all the prereqs). The parties appreciate me breaking immunities with LR in Hell level.

I put 1 into Bone Armor to stop players from shooting me. Usually seeing the armor clues them into the fact that I’m the good guy.

I think that Blizzard should repair this bug in Patch 1.13 at last - especially if it has been reported. It would be good.

I like my poison and fire necro. I can solo Act 1 in Hell. I just reached Act 4. So far so good.
