didnt find a thread where this was issued so i am opening a new one...

my question is: did u like the way poison worked in co-op in d2?

i hated it... as soon as someone else was in your game with more poison dmg (even if it was just 10 dmg/sec more -.-) my poison dmg would get 100% useless when we were attacking the same monster... and it just isnt the spirit of an arpg making sure which enemie u attack in order to prevent doing no impact at all...

i sure would like to see them changing that... or do u disagree and think it was ok the way it was in d2?

many many mechanics in Diablo 2 were poorly designed, Poison is one of them and its certainly near the top. We can expect that poison will be far better handled in Diablo 3.

Personally, I hope poison won't be a pure DoT mechanic. There are plenty of ways to include that through spells (such as burning, curses, etc.)

Poisons could be a combination of damage and debuffs. Slows, paralysis, damage reduction, etc. A decision to use a poison spell/item/ability could be a decision to trade immediate damage for utility and hit&run.
