Probably stupid Enigma question.

Once I made my Summon Necro the first thing I wanted was an Enigma for him. I wanted to be able to stack all of my summons and have them stop humping walls for hours on end, as well as have a strong and cheap MF character. However, now that I have the wealth to build/buy an Engima, I realized I'm pretty stupid. I don't know what kind of armor I should put it in. I figured most people went for Mage Plate, but I'm not entirely should. Should I make it in a Dusk Shroud? Archon Plate? My strength right now is 77 (I don't really have the perfect build, since I wasn't sure how much strength I was going to need.)

I supposed if I had some items that would boost my strength I would have a lot more options, but since I can't equip the Enigma right off then I don't really have the choice to use the Strength on the armor to wear the armor (sup catch 22).

Anyway, either I'm missing something or I'm stupid, or I should just build it in low str armor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think Archon Plate is the standard, keeps it useful for all of your characters while keeping up the defense.

I'd go with the mage plate. This allows base str in the build. The extra couple hundred points of defense most likely will not even make a 1% difference in chance to hit you. As a necro you have zero defense adding skills. Since virtually all summon necro's use a Might merc, then not even defiance will make an appreciable difference.

It would take some very good equipment to pull off base str with the 103 str on Archon plate vs the 55 on Mage plate. If it wasnt a MP , I'd go with Duskshroud. I think MP looks better though. Heck I'd use a breast plate before I went archon for a summoner.

If you're using it just for the summoner, sure. but not everyone has uber-leet wealth to make 367 Enigmas >_>
