but the change has only been to the better. Though they do look more like beasts than they did before, but that isīnt a bad fact.
I agree, they look awesome now and I hope Blizzard uses them as more than just an easy Act I monster to fight
Ironically they look much less "cartoonish" than the old concept art (let alone old graphics)...
I dunno what that means as they were always sort of intended as "comic relief monsters" though.

I don't remember them look like like either of those links in the game.

just wait till azmodan turns them into their old regular size and they are 5 times taller than the heroes! X-D
Hello, long time watcher, first time poster here!
Watching the old model and the new one makes me actually realize what a nice change the Fallen as a whole has gone through, nice job Blizzard!

the diablo 1 fallen
I'm really digging the Fallen Ones' new look. I especially like the Imps, Overseer, and the Hounds (they look awesome, like demonic hyenas)! For some reason I'm not really feeling the Shaman and Lunatic designs this time around, but that's okay. I want to see some BlizzCon '09 gameplay vids starring the Fallen Ones! :jig:

It is only when you see the old models up close that you realise how much of the actual outward appearance of the monster is clouded by your own imagination (with the help of older pixely graphics).
If I had to describe diablo II monster, they would probably look alot different from the original diablo II monster, and this is not because of a lack of playing time unfortunatly.
This ofcourse also means that the images you have of each monster will be a hell of a lot different from that of other people, and thus of blizzard and what they make them to be in Diablo III.
Perhaps it is only good that all the character classes do not make a reappearance (as playable) because they will only look different from how you expected (i.e. wanted) them to be...

there are HQ renders of the D2 and D1 classes, so itīs already official how they look

Your memory will always be slightly different (or more with a memory like mine) than reality. So even if they have renders, which I know they have, my view on the characters will still be different from the next person. Plus these characters always change over time, as does the game itself. And I think we all know how peoples view of something can be distorted over time, and how different it can be from blizzards views...
