a decent hdin. Not fun and will lose to experience players but it can deal damage to pubs.
A cold sorc.
Tal Rasha fire sorc. Can be insanely effective costing allmost nothing.
A 200 FCR fire sorc is also somewhat cheap. The most expensive thing that is a must is an amulet with atleast 15% FCR (crafted) and HOTO, though you can get by with wizardspike/suicide branch + any fcr amu..
check mephistophelez guide...

Wealth is relative. If you play without finding anything you can or want to trade for highrunes then a Dream,Dream,Dragon,HoJ combination can be quite a lot.
Of course, when everyone else in the pvp game has dozens of HRs it really isn't easy to compete without having that "minimum wealth".
I'd probably suggest LLD since it will help eliminate a lot of runewords. In that sense it is "more fair".

lld isn't necessarily cheap.

Being "the best" is probably just as expensive as high level duels if not more so. Competing in pub games is however not very expensive at all.

That argument, thoughm can also be made for HLD's. You can make a competitive Hdin for pubs using plain Pcomb skillers.

You're from Finland, aren't you guys supposed to be calm and quiet? Except for occasional shooting sprees ofc.
If you're annoyed by a post simply report it :)
Back on topic: auradans aren't really that expensive - the basic item kit that is :)
I always say that windies are good starting and relatively cheap characters. Similar to hdins in that respect - they can cost a fortune but a basic item setup should be possible on a budget.
Hammerdins aren't that good. Very hard to play and have a weakness against long range characters. In close range, smite is more powerfull than hammers. ( If hammerdins try to tele-hammer me on my V/T, it's autowin for me )
If you can afford a hammerdin, then best make a windy, WW/trap sin or a bone nec.
Bone necros are relatively cheap I think. They use mostly the same gear as hammerdins but their torch/charms are a lot cheaper. Same deal with windys, although if you want that last fcr breakpoint you're going to have to start adding some rares.
Really though most characters don't get "expensive" until you start adding rare jewelry/circlets/weapons and trick out their inventory with lifers.

For bowas just strap on a grief and do some smitin.
For sorc's/necs knowing how too desynch is always helpful.
fireball tal sorc :D
auradan... not too expensive.
most expensive pvp char is probably windies, the pelt alone is..

I have to agree with this statement. Every character has the potential to be expensive, and characters only start getting expensive when people add extremely rare and valuable items to them. If you plan it out right you can make a decent killer with moderately expensive gear choices. After all, when enigma first came out (from what I remember) it was nearly impossible to obtain the runes and those who had it controlled the entire game. Nowadays, huge expensive runewords like that are so cheap you can trade them for a couple of useful uniques.

thing with hammerdins over windies and some others mentioned is that you can get by with only life charms and not have to really use skillers. 37 spaces of plain lifers are cheaper than 9x nearly any skiller.

OT:
This was my forum shooting spree ;)
The mods should really start enforcing proper grammar and punctuation in the forums. The rules are already strict compared to most other forums anyway, and they are what make the forums so enjoyable for most of us. I can understand that someone who doesn't speak English as their native language, nor has possibly ever had the chance to study it in school would write like the op did here, but a Texan? If someone can't be arsed to put the effort required to a two sentence post, my replies will allways be reflecting that. :xxx:
