View Full Version : Weird offline bug??

Ive been away from my computer the last days, but I stayed in a hell game the whole time. But I noticed that I now cant use /f list or cant be wispered too!
its says that my main account is oflline? But Im still in the game? Anybody had a similar experience ever before? I just now logged on with another pc with the same account, then I could see wisper and use flist command. So Im now going to leave the game, and I am guessing the bug is just in that game on my main chr then. But damn what a strange bug!

You were most likely logged on that account with two instances before you left your home PC running with the second-logged-in account active.

Then that account would appear as *youraccount#2 hence not getting any whispers since you were most likely trying to whisper to *youraccount.

Do you have 2 PC's at home?

Nope that was not and werent the case.. Because it just happened again !
I was logged on at my main account and I had a mule account in the game. This just happened again. So it wasnt *myaccount#2 issue ...

And yes I have several pcs at home.

Its seems to haapen after a little while. Then if I leave the game, I am thrown out to main log on screen :-(

a small edit just to clarify : Using windows xp, no third party progs or hacks, no loaders, no mh or such crap..

I now restarted the whole shabang, when I shutdown d2 then I got a memory failure with game.exe file . So guess I just had been on too long and the memory was at a complete low! So hopefully all is back to normal again !

What happened is you lost your connection to the chat/realm server but not the game server.

No dont think that was the case either, since I still were in the game I had open, and could play in it with no mproblems, and others could alos join the game. But thx for response anyway. Havent had any more trouble so, all is good again I guess! :thumbup:

Whispering, using /whois, /time, etc., checking others' online statuses and their checking of your status go through the realm server, which is why they didn't work in your situation. I've had the exact same thing happen to me so I am familiar with the symptoms.
