1.09 Javazon Items & Skills allocation help

Hello everybody

I use a 1.09 Javazon to play Diablo 2 Classic. Why 1.09 ? The 1.10 patch greatly increased the monsters hitpoints and power.

I am in need of advice about what items should I use and where should do the level up for the nightmare level.

Here are my curent items:
Iratha's Finery full set.
Sparking Mail ChainMail
Nightsmoke Belt
Rare Boots with Faster walking and 34 Cold & 38 Lighting resist
Tarnhelm skull cap
Chance Guards Gloves
2 Nagelring + 1 Manald Heal rings
Rare amulet with little fire/cold/ resist & magic find

I hope to also get the Goldwrap Heavy belt to get faster the rest of the needed uniques for nightmare and hell.


My battle gear should be after I get to level 45 (now I am at level 43) and enter nightmare:
Iratha's Finery full set
Rare Boots with Faster walking and 34 Cold & 38 Lighting resist (to be replaced if something else comes along)
Goldskin (to be found in Chaos Sactuary or at Corpsefire in nightmare)
The Ward (to be found in Chaos Sanctuary)
2x Manald Heal Ring (one to be found in Chaos Sanctuary) for mana leech and life repair

As for the weapons I will use Javelins with Lightning Fury & Hellcast for Lightning Imune monsters.
I have also Hellplague Longsword and The General's Tan Do Li Ga Flail in the stash. Ai also have Nokozan Relic and The Eye of Etlich amulets in the stash.

Are those items good enough for ending the game on Hell ? Where should I put the next skill points ?

Time has passed I now I just finished Act 3 Nightmare. Now Foxy it's level 52.

I am now hunting Mephisto for Goldskin & The Ward. For him I use The General Tan Do Li Flail, Sparking Mail ChainMail, Tarnhelm 49%, Chance Guards 39, 1 Nagelring 27%+ 1 Nagelring 30%, Rare Boots with Faster Walking and 34 Cold & 38 Lighting resist + 18 magic find, Rare amulet with 29 Fire + 37 Cold resist +12 magic find, Beverit Keep shield and the last hit comes from the Gull.

In melee range, nighmare Meph hits hard, but is better then taking his lightning&cold ball from range (I have 75% Fire, 51 Cold, 48 Lightning resist with this setup).

I intend to put the rest of the attributes points in the Vitality, my Dexterity will go to 145 with Iratha Finary set (120 without items).

Is 145 Dexterity enough for Hell with a Bow/Crossbow ? I intend to use an elemental Heavy Crossbow/Bow for the LI and for the rest Lightning Fury.






As for the Skills & Attributes the final setup at level 99 should be:

Rare Boots with resistences, faster walk, faster hit recovery (depends on what I will find).

Any recomandations ?

hmm nice someone still play on 1.09 classic...
i played on this winter but now i dont have time too play nvm...

i have java zone too... great post for cowing... and great for cow exping... but it's great only for this... immunes killed effective on this char and best place to exp and items drop is cow... lots of cow = lots of exp and drops - you can end hell when you will be run immune locations and if you must kill immun with 6 soketed perfect emerald and valyrie but it's only option's when you must kill something better is run far and change location where is no immunes...
IMO don't run on mef for goldskin - play on cow nm when you can find very lots good stuff and uniqs or nm cs...
max your resist and go to hell - when you have max res and max lighting fury you can run all hell dificulty and spend rest of your exp time on COW HELL - you can clear very fast all cow level exclude cow king on 8ppl (DONT KILL HIM - if you kill him you never open cow level any more) - even on 1.09 classic exp is hard... you can bit 99 level but you spend LOTS of cowing time to do this... my highest level on classic 1.09 was 92 nova/orb sorc... but sorc on 1.09 is fastest exper... i clear cow level nad all cs in few minuts... java can clear all cow level fast like sorc but you exp in cs for java zone no good idea...

for your setup base on your actualy stats...
ofc harpoon whatever you have superior, non-superior, bla bla bla - each is good - you have lighting dmg no physical - no lighting immunes dont exist on your char :D .. and superior 6 soketed perf emerald gothic bow for immunes - here is no physical dmg but it's always some dmg points on your immunes :D...
full iratha set, nagel for MF or 2 x soj for exp (+2 skills give you some dmg, evasion and more bonus from passive skills), goldskin if you run on hell or play in cs but if you play on cow my choice is good rare life, fhr, nice def, low str req armor or twitch - this is probably best armor for every amazon - gives you great bonuses - atack speed, fhr, more chance to blok and 10 str and 10 dex - god modes for amazon, best shield for you is 3 perf diamonded shield (tower ore kite shield) before you dont find Ward 45+ or perf (dream :D), rare boots with fw/r, nice dual/triple res (30+) some dex, mf/gf - IMO it's great stuff for amazon but ofc if you find godly rare items you can change your setup from full iratha to this goldy rare items - this is very hard option beacuse this rare items must realy be godly...

Thanks for the advice Sivy. The most troublesome monster is Bremm Sparkfist when he gets LE as a mod. My magic find gear only gives me 48 lightning resist and Bremm always comes with Conviction aura. He can be defeated with Hellcast heavy crossbow but he heals himself and that makes him very irritating. Now my Foxy is level 53 and has max LF. I will be using the next skill points to reach 50% Evade. Is that a good ideea or should I go first for the Pierce or Critical Strike ?

critical is no need on java zone i always gave 1 point... and only gave one point to penetrate you no need this... 5 points to pierce for 55% or 12 for 75% your choice i always gave 12 points for 75%, 6 dodge, 7 avoid and 6 evade with shield this is crazy defens combo... and you have a lots of skill points left... nice option is max freezing arrow - you can kill imunes with this skill (for this skill you can use wizendraw bow it give - (20-35% cold resist) and have nice another mods... rest of points hmm i chose valkyrie for more life = more tank :D in my last post i dont remember that in 1.09 skills dont have synergy oO so you have a lots of free skill points for bow skills and IMO best option is max freezing arrow this skill have nice dmg and can kill every immune on your way...
no synergy it was great in 1.09 - characters have very nice combo builds... now you must chose what you want and max skill and synergy and it's no good for end imo nvm...

Now I am leveling from 67 to 70 for Hell and using the skill points for valkirie. After 70 I will put more points in Pierce and Evade.

2 x Manald Heal Ring 7% mana steal

2x Rare Boots (Fire/Cold and Lightning/Cold resists) / Goblin Toe

In the end she turned out to be a hibrid amazon using Lightning Fury for mobs, Lightning Bolt for 1-2 weak monsters and close combat (with a good dagger class weapon and Goblin Toes) for Superuniques. She also used 4/6 Perfect Emerald Crossbow/Bow for LI/LEMS bosses. She is based on Flux Fury Guide / Ugla Fury guide and a bit of a close combat from my personal preference.


Do you think I should try to write a guide for this 1.09 Classic Amazon build ?

I mean does anybody think that such a build is good enough ?
