Iron Golem Noob question?

I keep hearing about people using Insight and ebotd and all these runewords to make their iron golems out of but do these golems stick with you from game to game? If I die and need to remake an iron golem, am I out a runeword and need to burn a new one?

Yeah, they stick with you from game to game, but if you die, it's bye2 golem and another item to burn.

Golems can also die on thier own and can occasionally dissapear if you move too far away. Also it will poof (and you will lose your item) if you cast another golem, which is way too easy to do when things get frantic. My experience (SP, bnet may be different) is that one will last about 20-30 hours of gameplay as long as you're not too careless. You can generally make up an Insight in this timeframe, but a BotD...

Lol, botd golem. Well, that surely would be a potent lil sucker. You could just cast amplify damage and watch him crush stuff.

I havent had a golem leave me in a long time. I make a LOT of town portals though. I have it on a hotkey, click zip pop back down. I also play on hardcore. Things dying is a bad thing I avoid in every way. I have trouble making an immune golem at times as i run out of stuff. Yes, I have countless times made a golem when my iron wasnt dead. that's a sad event
