I saw one of these over at the Barbarian forum and I thought, "Why not have one for the sorcis?"

What will you call your first Wizard when the game comes out? I tend to be uncreative so I'll probably name mine an actual girl's name. Something like Ruth or Joana.

I'm going to give my male and female Wizards Chinese names, because it fits with what Blizzard did with the character. :)

I'll probably follow my terribly unoriginal trend in turning japanese words into names, they just seem to fit quite well some of them. Let's see... Kirei, perhaps! Or Kyuu.

Sepharia :D

Wow, that's a pretty good wizard name! :scratchchin:

Drucilla :)

That one too.

Since I'm going with her obvious Chinese inspiration, I'm thinking something like Leifeng 雷凤 (Thunder Phoenix) or Weihua 危花 (Dangerous Flower). Those are literal translations, though.

Some female names i seem to use in various games over the years are:

Ellahna, Ellana, Ellanua
Sareva, Sarevia, Sarevah
Yahna, Yana, Jahna
Inita, Irana, Initah

I think they're both feminine and fantady like.

Some magic:the gathering names I really like, but wil never use because i didn't come up with them, are: Linessa, Chandra, Orim, Alexi

Kaeros

Eilistraee for female,
Kaeros for male.

These harken back to the names I used to use in old MUDs i used to play...

I'll probably try and get and for my female and male wizard. If it's going to be my first... well I doubt it. Not going to reveal my first chars name, which will at this point be a female wizard :P

I'd call her "Manu" or "Xenchen". Both names refer to my wife, who certainly can match her power with wizards, mages and sorceresses alike :)

Horazon would be nice but i guess they will block names from the diablo universe

I like to use dark or medevil themes so something along the lines of -->

The Conjuring
Merlin
Black Majik
Dark Hat
Elvira
Kain

bighannibal

Mary ^^

In D2 I tend to give my chars descriptive names based on the skills they're using or the jobs the're performing like 'Transporter' for a Rush Sorc.

In Single Player games like Baldur's Gate I choose foreign or heroic sounding names.
My male Palladin actually was named Faithguard or my female Wizard Aiona.

But in D2 alas it is more technically and will be so in D3, too, I fear :)

I have several names to play with, and I'll be playing a female wizard in order to keep with the tradition of DII :)

Here's one: Ninive.

These threads are dangerous ...

Someone will like someone else's character name and beat him to it :)

I'll say mine anyway, its kinda boring, I wasnt using the above in reference to it:

Dizzy_Wizzy

What Im worried about is the name I posted in the Barb forum, it is way too cool, shouldnt have mentioned it :P.

I'll delete the names I listed lol :P You're kind of right there. Actually, I did think the same thing when I posted my char names but I thought "what the hell". No one's getting my names! I'll leave one name though, but the rest are mine!

:)

Hey, I just wanna continue the DII tradition. I'm not some kind of perv :P Plus, DII is actually the only game where I played a female char. Being a guy myself, I usually feel more comfortabe with male chars.

Atomicj: I'm going to give my male and female Wizards Chinese names...

The male doesn´t look chinese at all, with respect to the fact, that they have small eyes, which the male doesn´t seem to have. He looks more like a middleeastern in my opinion.

That being said, i would probably name my wizard. "the learned Bum" which maybe a reflection of my own reality ;)
