I'm surprised no one's commented on this yet, given how big a news this is... but in the Fallen update, there's a screenshot where the Male Wizard can be seen!!

Not really something new, the Male wizard was already in some screenshots before and even a few vids.

Go to the Wizard page on D3 official site and check the spells mini videos on the page ... two of them has the male wizard in action.

Also the vids from Blizzcon where jay talks about the skill-runes ... the last part of the video has the male wizard in action.

He has been around since Blizzcon 08 :wave:

Darn... thought I found something. The Wizard in the mini-videos on the official website are too small for me to make out anything in detail and for some reason, I can't set it to full screen (is that just me?).

The Blizzcon skill runes gameplay vids should have higher quality .. also you can get some plugin (if you have firefox) to download the vids off D3 Wizard page and play them with any media player you have.

i mean, what spell of the wizard tree is a fire skill or at least leaves a fire effect

It is the male wizard, the fire could be a left over from a barrel explosion or a lunatic fallen explosion ... and don't forget the wizard does have Hydra which is fire based magic.

Yeah it's amazing if they are really adding this feature into D3.

Seriously the first thing that fly into my mind was the scene in the LOTR movie of the battle between Gandalf the Grey and the Balrog of Morgoth, imagine if that sort of battle exist in D3.... :givelove:

Maybe, but it just doesn't have the female HAIR.

And this is one thing I don't think they can change (without wearing helmets).
And considering ALL of the screenshots and videos we've seen of the female Wizard showed here with the same type of outfit (including another picture from that batch), I don't see why this picture would have her wearing a different one.

P.S- The "fire" in the picture can be by an Arcane Orb spell too

or... the fire is just the corpe of the fallen shaman

Thats because the male wizard is like a punk metrosexual (:girly:).

About those guys falling down, makes me think that a good fatality (to our hero) would be pushing him just a little bit

lols, go watch the vids of the male wizard on the Wizard D3 page, it is the Male wizard :crazyeyes:

Huh, I've missed the previous pictures of the male wizard and my reaction to this picture when I viewed it on the news-page was that "Cool, she is dressed in rags instead of the usual dress. Perhaps that is how lesser/damaged/cracked gear will look.".

I just bumped into this thread by mistake and got pretty surprised.
Still think this dude looks like a chick though. ^_^
