Am I the only one that's kinda getting bored with the trickle of D3 news and want a new class already?

What's keeping them from announcing one? Is it that they want to spread out the class announcements, or could it be some kind of technical issue?

I'd say they're too busy getting they're stuff polished up for possibly E3 and the next blizzcon. Maybe that new IP and getting some cool skills put together for the New classes. I'm definately hoping for some info around E3 time instead of waiting for Blizzcon :(

I've talked to some Blizzard employees, and it turns out that the next classes are graphics that have been ripped from Mario and Tetris.

If you don't believe me, you're ghey!

They want a huge event to announce the new classes so that much more people know about the class and the game and possible start following the development and possible buying the game.

Heh, I couldn't help but laugh at that. :D

August is the magic word.

I hope you're right. :(

I haven't complained about the dearth of info, but we really have reached that point where we're in the doldrums, and I think it's starting to affect the level of interest for the game. :\

Agree with what's been said a few times here already, personally I think we are extremely likely to see the next class revealed during Blizzcon. It just makes the most sense, loads of people gathered all with a huge interest in blizzard's work, plus they'll want to do the important / interesting announcements at blizzcon to solidify its status as a dominant gamning convention.
Especially now they boycut E3 as well as left the ESA, the most important thing for them would be to make sure blizzcon is a viable alternative for them.

i bet Blizzard will announce something big a Blizcon, if not a charecter it better be awsome. i would like some more information when they plan to start beta testing and stuff like that.... hopefully we will get a bunch of new stuff to be teased with.

Can't wait for Blizzcon. We need more significant Diablo 3 news to be excited about. Hell I can't even wait to play !

I honestly think the new class is going to be something totally Unique to the other classes, Like Rogue/Priest type thing
Like a shadowpriest

Honestly I think people should stop whining about not having enough information. It's their game, their info, their updates and so on. You should be happy getting what you do

i'm not, though. excitement begins to turn into anxiousness--it's important to have new info to stir it up a little.

I totally feel ya. Thinking about something similar, also the next update prolly before blizzcon with 1 new character revealing. Or 1 character revealing at blizzcon + new gameplay footage from darker environment to cooldown old fans :smug:

What exactly are you anxious about? that they might choose to not make any more classes? that they might cancel D3 because no more updates have been shown? Sorry I jst don't quite see what you could be anxious about

Okay, I'm really bored now. All the news is the most boring stuff that I'm just not interested in anymore.

"Will you be able to to carry a sword in your left hand and a shield in your right?" Who freakin cares?!

Such questions would be a lot of fun filler info when I'm done thinking about all the ways I'll build and use the next character; without big news, all this little news loses all of its luster.

Spill the beans already; give me something to bite into, Blizzard!!!

The next class will be the Strangler. In addition to strangling enemies to death with Mixed Martial Arts abilities, he turns demon's strength against them as he hits them with their own fists. Not only that, but his flair for long, drawn out battles ensures that he can incapacitate a foe for many hours, unless there is another foe nearby.

The Strangler will most likely be announced at Blizzcon but if not then probably around Christmas 2011.
