Just for the fun of it give me your item builds. I know there will be changes eg max cap 5 will turn into 15 and stuff like that. But lets ignore it, if it was exactly the skill on this site http://www.diablo-source.com/index.php?cmd=skill how would you build your wizard.

Myself is thinking about two builds.
First one is a Arcane build.
Passives.
Arcane power (15) Gives arcane spells + dmg
Penetrating Spells (15) Lower targets resist
Arcane Weakness (15) Increase damage taken for monster
Empower Magic (15) Increase the effect on willpower on your spells - Storm
Conjuredpower (15) Increase damage done by spells for every vitality- Conjuring
Magical Impact (15) increase damage of all your spells based on weapon damage - Conjuring
=90
Active.
Teleport 1
Slow time 1
Temporal armor 1
Disintegrate 1
Arcane orb 1
Mirror Image
Magic weapon 1 (Gives more weapon damage which ultimately will give you more spell damage)
=97
This would be a pure damage wizard, dont think you can get higher damage, she doesnt have much hp but temporal armor and slow time will make up for that.

The other build I was thinking of was a cold wizard.
Passive.
Empower Magic (15) Increase the effect on willpower on your spells
Deep Freeze (15) Increase crit chance on cold spells
Lethal Energy (15) Increase the crit chance on melee and spells
Shattering Ice (15) Frozen target takes additional damage when they are frozen
Storm power (15) Increase damage of cold and lighting spells
Penetrating Spells (15) Lower targets resist - Arcane
=90
Active
Blizzard 1
Frost nova 1
Teleport 1
Slow time 1
Temporal armor 1
Mirror Image 1
=96

This wizard wants the foes to be frozen and plays on that they will. Same as last one it doesnt got much hp resist or armor, but monsters getting frozen temporal armor and slow time will hopefully make up for it.

I know both of them is not so versatile both only got 2 active damage spells
but that's how I want and like it.

Edit another skill build which would be fun to try
Passive.
Damage Resistant (15) Increase armor and resist
Conjured Armor (15) Increase block chance
Armor Piercing (15) Physical damage decrease the monsters armor
Conjured Health (15) Increase your health and cojureds health
Duplicate Conjuring (15) Increase the images from your mirror image skill, and hydra skill
Improved Spectral Blade (15) Adds addition damage to spectral blade
=90
Active.
Spectral blade 1
Stone skin 1
Mirror Image 1
Teleport 1
Slow Time 1
=95

Since images do damage what about mass them and make them all use spectral blade at melee range. Could work extremly well? Only time will tell

i was thinking abou making a melee wiz, spectral blade, mirror images to help, conjured power, slow time, armor piercing, conjured health, tele

the idea of images is great, but i don't think they imitate your skill, i think in the video they could make other spells...

elemental with thunder/cold and some heavy points into that hydra dealie, just for the flavor. represents a kraken attacking a pirate ship in a storm. ;P

My wizard will be pimp no doubt! This will be the first class i will role, unless they make something really freakin sweet with the next to classes. to me the wizard will be the smartest choice. 1 pnt in tele equal good farming, as long as the dont nerf it where you can go through walls. i doubt the willl thou

the toughest thing is a found a site that shows me how runes will effect they skill and what they will do, and i think because of this i will mostly invest in the elemenetal skills, but i will not stay just in the section of the tree. some of the conjuring spells and arcans spells are really kool, especialy when you have the correct ruin in them.

example the Summon Hydra spell, if you have the right ruin in it, intstead of it just being the 3 heads it will be the full beast and it will walk around. to me that is kool. sadly some skilll i think i will want to invest points in just to see the kool effect the spell has.

Right now I'm all about having lots of active spells So I want to get as much as possible.. Probobly a stupid idea, but I just want to try everything untill I find something I realy like.. So my first Wizard is going to have almost all the active skills ;p
After trying it all, I'll probobly make a Ligh/cold sorc.

Melee Wizard:

Wave of Force - 1
Arcane Armor - 9
Slow Time - 1
Arcane Distortion - 1

Frost Nova - 1
Deep Freeze - 1
Static Charge - 8
Lethal Energy - 1

Spectral Blade - 1
Damage Resistance - 1
Weapon Mastery - 15
Stone Skin - 1
Mirror Image - 1
Conjured Armor - 1
Conjured Health - 10
Conjured Power - 15
Conjured Duration - 1
improved Spectral Blade - 10
Magic Weapon - 1
Magical Impact - 15
Slowing Strikes - 1
Armor Piercing - 1

Any points left over would go into Improved Spectral Blade or Magic Weapon for more damage or defensive skills for more survivability.

Going by those skill trees, I'd probably go pure storm, since it seems to have both good damage output (lightning) and slow/cc (cold) skills. It also has a lot of passives that give bonuses to both cold and lightning skills at the same time...

...so yeah, storm with some points into arcane for stuff like efficient magics, penetrating spells, runic might and ofc teleport.

But who knows, those trees may get completely reshaped before the game is released.

I'm not making any specific builds 2 years before release since we will definitely see a lot of iteration on all of the skills and maybe the whole system.

I just know the general direction I'll be going on my Wizard and that is mainly Arcane Spells with a bit of Conjuration utility skills mixed in.

Old school D&D style!

The wizard will be the first class I'll try, that's for sure. I played th sorcerer in Diablo, the sorceress in DII, and I'm sure as hell gonan play the wizard in DIII.

I think my first wizard character will most likely be something I like to call a spellsword. It's basically a melee wizard, good on dealing physical damage and elemntal damage as well. Basically I'll be fcusing dealing physical melee damage via a weapon and have some skills to support that, put the rest in damaging spells.

What I have in mind is a versatile character capable of dealing both physical damage with a weapon and elemental damage with spells, she would cast spells from a distance and use her weapon when monsters get close, a powerful ranged attacker as well as melee combatant.

What my exact setup will be like is something I don't know yet, but looking at the skills I see some really good skills that will be invaluable.

Hopefully though, we won't be required to put too many points in a single skill tree just to be able to use the higher tier skills. But I can see by the skill trees that this will not be the case and that there will be a large amount of room for customization, so I'm very happy with this.

Blizzard is definitely going the right way (as always).
