BVC Setup, what to change?

or better to use all 3/20/20's and switch mana/res sc's when needed????

2x fcr, ar, life, mana sc's

Guil Helm (Dueling Hdins)

6socket BA (30/15 res jewels) - worth it or too weak?

Any think that needs to be changed?

i dont think there's any more room in your stash for switch gear. a few life/res or life/mana instead of max/ar/life won't make much difference. if anything i would get few more life/res scs.

No its not a show off thread. its a real thread to get opinions on if anything can be improved.

about 10x 20/5's? means losing about 17 sc's worth of max/ar/life, won't that mage a huge difference in ar when dueling smiters/hdins...?

A few max/ar/life scs won't make you hit a high def hdin or a smiter anyway, you need gear switches for that.

Just because the gear is good doesn't mean its the ideal setup. The guides r v good, but a bit old. the thread was more for ppl's opinions on what else would be useful vs other classes

i know 95% of the gear is correct, but that doesn't mean some things are missing

Not sure if its in there but I'd change a few things.

20-WW
20- BO
20- Axe Mastery
14- Leap
10- Shout
5- FRW
5- Natural Resist
1- Prerequisites
1- Battle Command, Zerk

It should be done around 91 or so. Thats my current setup and he works great. IMO a 20 leap isn't needed and I prefer having a longer lasting BO and higher defense.

I'd also get an Arreats and socket it with whatever you need. I'd advise UM for the added resists against most characters.

Place 50 hard points into Strength and Dex. for added versatility when swapping out gear.

Swap out the gores for some nice triple resist rares. Look for Lightning, Cold, Fire in that order. If you can only get double resist rares, look for other good mods. like +strength or added life etc.

Yuqings BvC guide is up to date. nothing new has been introduced into D2 since it was written and no-one has yet written up a better one.

when facing high-def-lifetap-clown smiters with my BvB, i generally go with angelics and use a demon limb for enchant.

i'd also ditch some of the max/ar/life charms and replace with res/life (go 20x 20/5's and 17 x 3/20/20, or just go with all 20/5's. you need resists more than you need to be able to kill someone in one less hit). i see no point in using mana/life sc's on a BvC (those ravenfrosts should give all the mana you'll ever need) unless you're indulging in good mannered no-mana-pot duels.
