Realmdown after 9 games

So I started to get Realm Down although I don't go over the 20 games/hour.
It's more like 4 mins/game (15 games/hour) and it goes down after 6-9 games and then I have to wait.
I don't understand, never happened before.

I don't think anyone short of a Blizzard employee is capable of shedding light on what constitutes a cause for a realm down. At the very least we know it's not only related to the amount of games you make, because other factors (eg switching between skills very very quickly) can also trigger it.

As a result, it could be a combination of these which have affected you.

I setup port forwarding on my router and disabled my software firewall - that alone reduced my chance of temp restriction to the point I rarely worry about it happening unless I switch characters too many times too fast.

I would guess that data is being lost and thus the server is working extra to try and get the data too you thus marking you for heavy data traffic.
