Crafting a 20% FCR ammy

I read a post that I got linked to from google somewhere, that to get a crafted ammy with more then 10%+ fcr, you need to use a ammy that already has 5-10% fcr to craft with.

Is this true? or is 20% fcr mod just a total random mod.

No, that's wrong. Any crafted amulet can have up to 20%fcr when applying the caster recipe. 10% can come from a random affix and 5-10% from the fixed affix of the recipe.

the base ammy stats will be rerolled, best use your highest lvl char to craft with

a little more crafting info for ya

output ilvl = int (clvl/2) + int (input ilvl/2)
ex. if your char is lvl 80, youll need a lvl 62 ammy to craft high enough for the ammy to get 4 additional mods

if youd like to gamble and craft for +2 skill ammys (output ilvl needs to be ilvl 90+ to get a chance for +2 class skills)
its best to use a char lvl 93+

ilvl = item lvl, determines mods the item can get, its the mods that determine the rlvl
rlvl = required lvl to use the item
clvl = char lvl
