Do Cloak of Shadows, Amplify Damage, Decreptify, and other curses have any effects on objects such as Gargoyle Traps, Walls, Barricades, Lightning Spires, Fire Towers, Demon Huts, and Catapults? I would like to know if those elements are programmed to have a Curse flag (on/off).

I am aware Conviction and Lower Resist seems to have an effect on Fire Towers / Barricades. Sometimes they break the Fire Immunity of these objects.

I don't think objects like that can have curses or warcries cast on them. Not sure about Cloak of Shadows, but I suspect they're unaffected by that as well.

Necromancer Curses aren't applied to immobile units: technically this is because they have no walk mode, although I don't know why this should mean that Curses aren't applied.

Conviction would be applied to Fire Towers and could break their fire immunity (Fire Resist 110%) in Hell, but level 10 Lower Resist (FR -55%/-11% vs Immune to Fire) wouldn't do so.

An Assassin's Cloak of Shadows and a Barbarian's Warcries, or at least Battle Cry, behave differently: both should apply their -% (Enhanced) Defence to all targets, although I'm not so sure about AI-altering effects (CS doesn't blind Tentacle Beasts, for instance).

Here's a guess for you, since at one time bone walls could be cursed... I think the game has just been diddled so much by a succession of programmers that lots of things like this exist that are just artifacts of the process.

The posts of Nefarious at Phrozen Keep about all the screwed up simple bugs in the code lead me to believe that the Blizzard m.o. is a variant on an old saying: "if it is broke, but still fun, don't fix it!"
