anyone know some good diablo 2 ui mods? i could ( i actually am ) just be a huge noob, but is there a way of making your skills more accessible? having to switch your left click and right click button specials everytime gets really tedious... is there a mod that lets me at more of my skills on a bar and assing hotkeys and what not?

this is most likely a super noob question, but i am one so its all god =D

I haven't looked it up, but my educated guess would be that there are no UI mods. However, you can hot-key different skills to different buttons (defaults being the the function keys on your keyboard [f1, f2]). Assigning hot keys to different sets of skills also allows you to use a mouse-wheel to scroll through different skills that you want to use.

Hope that helps!

One more thing, any diablo 2 questions should probably be asked in the diablo 2 part of the forums ;)

Yeah, unlike wow, mods are basically against the eula.

You should probably (re)read the rules before asking about mods in the future. Asking for hacks (which a ui mod would be) can get you banned.

While your comment is 100% accurate, I have to sympathize with the guy that made this thread. Also coming from WoW (which is where I assume the OP is from, or possibly a similar game) the first thing a player cringes at in d2 is having to use these cumbersome Fkeys + mouseclicks. I don't think he had any intention at all of asking this community to help him hack or cheat.

That is precisely what he asked for.* Sure, he wasn't trying to be dishonest, but that's not what this is about. I was just letting him know that he should make sure he knows what constitutes a hack here before asking for something similar again.

* Maybe you disagree with me, but I think that is the opinion a mod would hold.

Let me shed some light here. UI MOds (like those in WoW) aren't hacks. However DII does not have such a thing. There are mods for DII but they are a single player topic and even then only certain ones are accepted by the SP community. In WoW, UI mods are a blessing and especially for high end play, some are a necessary tool. Some are for laughs and others make add to the function of the basic UI that WoW has.

Unfortunately, DII does not have these.

oh sorry about that, i was not aware that they we're considered hacks.
i in fact did come from 3 years of wow, and i was completed modded up hehe, so i wasn't sure. i just am not a fan of the weird right-left click.

now, in D3, the UI is gonna be more like one from wow right? or am i just crazy

At the moment we really don't know how the final layout will be for diablo 3. There's a lot more work to be done with the game, and anything can be changed at any moment.
