So I've been trying to decide what weapon to use on my barb and the weapon speed calculator has me a bit confused.

Do I put the weapon's IAS and then add the weapon's IAS to the rest of my IAS in the IAS slot or is the IAS slot just for IAS from other gear?

I *think* using the IK Maul as an example, if you double shael it, that is 80% ias on the weapon, which gives you 12fp2 and 2 attacks per second.

The next Concentrate breakpoint is at 154% ias, to get 10fpa and 2.5 attacks per second.

If you add 75% IAS (2 15%ias jewels in ik hat, 25% from ik gloves 2 set bonus, 20% from highlords) you are at: 11fpa 2.2 attacks per second, which still isn't the last breakpoint.

If i'm reading the calculator correctly.

Is that how it actually works? I've never done an IK barb so don't know what frames that hits..

Barbs have such a confusing way of calculating speed :scratchhead:

If you just chose the weapon, character class and skill- then just click on the ias/fpa table, you'll see exactly how much total IAS you'll need for a 9 or 10 frame attack in the pop-up table.

For Concentrate:

An Ogre Maul needs 280% IAS to hit a 10 frame attack.

A Berzerker axe needs 125% IAS to hit a 9 frame attack.

A Phase Blade needs 42% IAS to hit a 9 frame attack.

If I chose to put numbers in the calculator first, say I had a ebotdzerker, that's 60% IAS on the Right Weapon. Then I'd put whatever other IAS I had in the IAS: Box above the chosen skill. The answer will be provided on the bottom.

I usually do what I suggested in the beginning, because it seems simplier, since all I need to know is the total needed. then I just look at my stuff to see If I can reach that max.

So to me if you look at it that way, it's easy.
