Larzuk on blue weapons

Hi i have a small question. and i need verification.

If u socket blue weapons in closed B.net, wich is the maximum number of sockets availible.....
Think of a cruel-fools etheral weapon with multiple sockets, imagine the possibilities.
It is some statement on the diablo quest page in this site

In single player i did 4 sockets on a legendary mallet yesterday, is this restriction on bnet pure rumors or is it possible to get suck sockets in closed bnet.

Your legendary mallet was likely a non-magical (i.e. white) item. All magical items will get 1-2 sockets, regardless of realm/SP etc.

Yea it seems to be the case that blue items only get 2 sockets. i did today, test on a few items in single player, to socket them, and non did get any more than 2.

Still a etheral colossus blade of cruel + fools mod, wil be cool with 2 sockets as well.

You may be thinking about older versions, where there could be more than 2 sockets from Larzuk in magical weapons.

In 1.07, magical weapons could get from 1 to 4 sockets from Larzuk, assuming the item type allowed it. I have had a fair number of Cruel Phase Blades of Quickness drop in 1.07, and some of them got four sockets, for example this one:

given that Cruel and Fools are both prefixes, a Cruel-Fools anything is going to be a rare item, meaning that Larzuk will only give it ONE socket. unless it also scores the Mechanic's prefix and gets two sockets that way.

back in the day, a CBBoQ (Cruel Balrog Blade of Quickness) was considered a pretty sexy sword. there still exist on West NL a couple of zod-bugged versions of these swords (so Eth, indestructable, 40ias, 300%ed and two sockets).

bottom line: it's very, VERY, VERY rare to find a magic or rare sword that can even begin to compete with a lot of the runeword/unique offerings (for example, eth Death Cleaver and Grief)

Yea, hi mephistotoles.
I am a Yellow player only, that means im a rare collector and only wear yellow items in game. I play on europe.
I have my baby sword from 2004 and a axe from 2008. All items Self found.
AND just the other week my brother found a even sicker axe, with 305 average damage in 1H. So just got the zod the other day and soon i will alswo post that image here.

PS All that blue item questions, i just started to get intrest in blu items, thats why im not big pro.

PPS a true diablo 2 player since 1998. pre that diablo 1 of course ;D.

The text readout comes from GoMule, but the big difference is that I'm playing Single Player. So the character files are on my computers and GoMule (or ATMA) can read the information there and put it in the standard format. On the realms, it's not possible.
