stats on Mal's goldfind barb template

hiya guys, im following mal's goldfind barb guide from the stickies at the top of the forum, i have a quick question:

i have a couple of lightsabers that i have lying around and i thought it would be cool to use them while levelling up, but they take 136 dex, as mals guide suggests, i shouldnt need anywhere near this amount of dex... so... would i be gimping myself by dumping so many stats into dex? should i just forego the swords and keep my dex nice and low? (my goldfind swords are crystal swords)

technically you only need stats to satisfy gear requirements since you shouldn't be getting hit often - so you are open to placing extra stats.

However, you may want to maximize your use of vit and you wouldn't need dex anywhere that high for anything else. You can always leech xp in chaos and baal runs till you're at a decent level, then go buy merc and start running.
