Btw did i mention its really really hard to get a footing in this game again. I dont seem to remeber it being this tough to get the ball rollin.

It has indeed become harder in hell. Consider staying in nightmare a bit longer to get more levels and better items. And then try hell, and don't forget, it's not a shame to play defensively.
