Will I need more dex to achieve Max Block using Rondache compared to Sacred rondache?

Unfortunately I jsut realizsed this when I bought 35fcr RONDACHE not sacred lol

But, I don't really mind if its just a bit more into dex to achieve max block.

Yes you will, try the search function for once, find the block formula either in the forum or in strategy compendium and do some math :)

Well, i got a calculator for block, but I just have no idea what to put where....so here goes..
this is what calc says:

Base Shield Blocking % ( i checked arreat summit and rondahce has this number...[15]
45% lol which one is it? I put 45 here)

Then I need to put my holy shield, which I havent even done for ma pally..

So yeah, I guess its ok if i have to put more dex, just how much? Thats what Im wondering now.

If i have to put 10-20 more in dex thats a no problem.

IF I'm not mistaken, it took around 2 dex to get block back to max at each level up, so the amount of dex you would have to add extra would probably be (SRond block - Rond block)*2. That's just from memory though, I am not 100% sure about this, and I haven't factored in holy shield either... xD

Sacred Rondache: 58% blocking
Regular Rondache: 45% blocking

Assuming you put one point in Holy Shield and have items that grant you a total of +10 to all skills, Holy Shield will give you +31% blocking. If you have a lot more +skill items or totally max out Holy Shield, you can get up to +35% blocking.

Since blocking decreases with your level, assume that your character is level 85.

183 Dex required for max block with regular Rondache.
159 Dex required for max block with Sacred Rondache.
These numbers are reduced to 175 and 153, respectively, if Holy Shield is over level 20.

After level 85, you will have to put 2-3 points into Dex each level to maintain max block, regardless of the base shield.
