character got buged out by a rare jewel

just 5min ago, was mfing with my hammerdin. i had picked up a rare jewel from shank the overseer. I idenfified it, it give some rater useless properties. as I was trying to pick it up from my inventory and sell it, i couldnt, I cannot drop it, i cannot put it in my stash. it just got stuck on my cursor. So I quit the game a re-enter. and I cannot create or enter any games. just got stuck at the red door loading screen. my account was fine, i can log in other characters, just not my hammerdin. any ideas?

You can ask a trusted person to try and log in for you and see if they can sell it for you unless you play single player open realm. That's what i would do. Then change the PW afterwards.

Maybe ask a mod here if they feel like being helpful or somebody else trusted.

I would offer but i don't want to risk getting accused if some of your items goes poof.

Other than that try and log on on a different PC?. Reinstall?.

I'm guessing its not the jewel - its a connection issue. I experience it from time to time - it looks to me like data sent through a specific port or range of ports isn't going through which is why you're other characters work, just not the din as data is most likely set on different ports (in many mmo's the port numbers change, it could be that at this particular time, they changed and it just happened to be around the same time you got that jewel).

I wouldn't recommend offering your account password to someone to try and resolve for you - better waiting it out or getting on another computer to attempt.

Just like SeCKSEgai said... it's a connection issue. Just wait for 10 minutes and you'll be able to log in again (I've had this myself on more than one occasion).
