high clvl viability of life regeneration and damage reduction ???

after having made and played with the healer-smiter at clvl 9, i'm wondering if life regeneration and damage reduction would be just as powerful at high clvl ?

i have only maxed prayer for making a healer-medic paladin, never had i considered at the time just how powerful i know now life regeneration and damage reduction can be at low clvls. a healer-medic build is nothing like the competitive and offensive build used in pvp.

i'm wondering if life regeneration and damage reduction taken to the extreme-max potential at high clvls if that would possibly make an unkillable or "god-mode cheat" like build ?

any comments or experience on this question i am wondering about and thinking of actually trying to see if it does have this efect or not ?

I have several high levels healers, although you do have nice regenerate, compared to the damage you take and the total life you have, you cannot survive on this alone while attacking monsters.
If you keep away from the monsters and use your holy bolt to keep other people alive (250-500 points of life healed per bolt) it's all you'll ever need.
Right now I'm working on a specials smiter which also serves as a healer. He'll be able to handle individual monsters, but like all healers, he cannot take down a group(in Hell that is).

Damage reduction works really well... in normal and lld.

i ment this for pvp more and so obviously not the holy bolt medic healer support build for pvm.

i meant could the same type of build of the LLD pvp healer-smiter that u warlock and others came up with (and i am loving myself), be taken to high clvl and have the same effect in a HLD pvp duel ?

can life regeneration (prayer and from gear) and damage reduction (from gear) work at high clvl in HLD pvp duels ???

In short : No.

And the long version would be : If it doesn't work for pvm Hell, it certainly does not work for pvp.

Mind you, in team battles, using your holy bolts and misc supporting aura's(+res or +damage) does help quite a lot and can turn the tide. But the healing aura's still won't mean anything.
