Help with fire druid

Ive went through serveral fire druid pvp guides. Ive been able to set up a char that has reasonable Fhr, wich wasnt a big problem using sands and fhr sks.

By one problem I found is the Fcr and resistance. Together with RavenL25, Mara29,Hoto39,anni18,Torch19 I still need 9xsc5allr wich leaves me with already a full inventory. This is whith using 20/20firefacet shield.

Now I see Firedruids using both 20/20shield and 30/30 sword and 9sks.
If I take the sword my inventory wont have enough space anymore for +75 resists. Also I wil lose 40 fcr wich leaves me only Arach and Magefist.
Then I would need 28 more fcr in amu/rings if I want the 68 breakpoint. This nerfs another 2 skills, lots of health and even more resist. (bks/mara) So thats out of the question for me...

Another option would be the 46 fcr breakpoint wich I think is pretty low. What kind of FCR/resistance/fhr do you gozu Fire druids have on a totaly ready char ?

There is a solution to resists/99fcr while using facets but its kinda pricey.

That is:
2/20fcr/res/+ amulet
2/20fcr/res/+ circlet with 2x facets
magefist/arach/2x fcr rings

That will get you the 99 bp while using facets for pierce.

A 68fcr bp is playable on bnet if you want some more damage but being that slow will result in you getting stomped too quickly and not being able to avoid it.
using a mass facet setup will pk some players very quickly, others you may find hoto to work better against, opens up more equipment options while keeping fcr. Best to just stash equipment if you can afford more than just a core setup.

Perhaps build around what you have so far and stash yourself some facet gear and see for yourself if playing on lower fcr works out for you or not.


Personally I use a suicide branch + druid pelt 163fcr setup on mine. >.>
(to note: my experience playing fire druid is limited to d2pk which has buffed damage fire druids, but the builds would be similar on bnet anyway)

Youtube vids are also usually full of pub on pub action, so your experience as to how effective lower fcr is may differ from what you saw on video. Really depends on what level of play you are dueling against.

For now I will keep using hoto and ravenlore, so I will still be able to get 99 fc and full resistance.
When I have enough money I will get a sword as well and try out the 68 cap (2rings,amu,arach,mage) with -75 efr and lower resist since I seem to die anyways in a nasty hit :p
