well i was wanting to make a new sorc i looked through the guides and didn't find anything i would like i want something unique that does well

so i got to thinking a zeal enchant sorc would be real cool but the fire immunes  so i thought how about adding frozen orb to it

similar to the meteorb build heres what i thought up

max enchant

max warmth

max fire mastery

max orb

10 in cold mastery

rest into chilling armor

i think its a pretty kick *** build

haven't really thought of gear but i have an idea

i haven't spent any points on it yet so if this build sucks let me know so i won't do it thanks

edit

a few more questions regarding this build

does beserk convert fire damage to magic?

is one point in energy shield worth it or should i go without?

more as i think of them

You can definately make it work. If you're not up for Zeal, you can use something like "Rift" and rely on a normal attack. Many people often use Enchant/FO builds for their ranged 'chantresses as well.

Good luck with your build.

I've tried a couple of Enchantresses that were pretty similar to what you've described. One was ranged (as omg mentioned) with a FO backup, and quite fun. The other was zeal-melee with Energy Shield for defense (and mostly using a strong merc and the +Berzerk on Passion to deal with Fire Immunes), but because my non-fire damage was lacking (and I'm not a big fan of ES) I enjoyed that one less.

But both sorcs had their strong points, and I think combining the melee aspect with Frozen Orb will work quite well. You won't be as powerful as a dual-dream melee sorc with a bunch of Lightning damage, but it's still a viable build.

Some more specific advice:
- swarms are going to be the most consistently dangerous thing you face. Use teleport and "guerrilla tactics" to keep your distance most of the time. Some Faster Cast Rate to speed up your teleport casting can help here.

- likewise, in case you do get swarmed, Faster Hit Recovery (and Faster Block Rate if you're using shield-blocking) is helpful to escaping dangerous spots quicker when you do get in trouble. Definitely plan for a moderate amount of these.

- you may be a little stretched on equipment - covering all of the breakpoints & +skills that you want may be a little tough to accomplish without some really good gear. Don't feel you need perfect gear to pull it off, but you may want to plan out some/much of your equipment beforehand so that you can cover your basic needs like resistances, not dump too many unnecessary points into Str/Dex, and things like that.

- Enchant really starts to shine as you add more +skills. Try to accumulate at least +10 fire skills (preferrably +20 skills or even more) to boost your enchant level for casting while in town. This equipment will usually vary a lot from your "questing" equipment, so your stash will need to be half-full at all times. But the extra skills are well worth it.

How rich are you? If you want to make a dominant pvp and pvm sorc, I highly recommend a dual dream sorceress.

Despite the terrible font choice, this is a good guide to get you started

Those are minor problem to melee sorc, if you can survive, killing is not problem.

Souls are immune, but around 100 lightning resist, so its easy to remove immune with infy merc. Even if immune not broken, then enchanted merc kills those nicely in full games.

And/or

Melee sorcs have enchant skill anyway, even weak one kills those easily. And sorc do some physical damage too. With enchant you can give 500...4000 fire to your merc and 1000....20k fire damage to sorc.

So both merc and your char can easily kill those even without infy.

Melee sorc is good char to hunt souls in full games. With thunder belt and Blackwing to merc, both are almost immune them. But not manashield sorcs.

I would say she does an above average job dealing with them.

My life is at 1.5k and my mana is at 2.3k after BO (i get up to 2.9k mana when I have my inventory filled up with 12 more small charms, i need space for items). I also have an infinity merc.

When doing anya/izual/baal I can tele through them without a sweat, even with 37fcr. Fighting them is a bit different. I can tank about 3 firing at me before my ES gets a bit low and I have to chug a mana potion. 5 or more firing at me, i gotta chug a purple. They die really quickly though, and if there's like 10 attacking me, most likely the chance to confuse will trigger and they'll be easy pickings. I'd say about a third of the time they'll make me chug a purple.
