Mf Barb or Glitch Sorc

I don't know what to choose :) I like barb very much because drops are nice rares + gold and runs are very fun :) but is it better than a sorc ?

IMO, a MF Barb is a lot more fun than a sorc.

I think you answered your own question :yes:

Both work -> one should use whichever they find more fun to play...

for jsut starting out, the most efficient way (though may not be that fun and even boring) is to make a sorceress. this is because she can teleport and thus rush and mf quickly. yes, even the cold sorc, has some problems with immunes, but this is the only downside, and thus i believe wins over the hdin for first character.

the next (2nd) character one should make is the hdin. the "powerhouse". he can do everything the sorc can do but at a slower pace (no teleport and confined areas like magot lairs are extrmely bad-slow for him) and more (NO immunities to him for the main part of the game. he can kill everything. he's the "powerhouse"). but his slowness and his adversity to magot lairs is why u made the sorc first. so she can rush him. once u rush and lvled the hdin he can now do hell cs (or other areas that give the sorc trouble) for u where the cold sorc can't do completely or very well (exlcuding really good gear and skill pts into firewall or nova for cold immunes, like especially seis). using the sorc and hdin u can than begin to item hunt.

once u got decent items, your 3rd character should be a mf/gf barb to help with more item hunting and/or gold collecting. i forgot to mention, that the barb also provides u with the much addictingly useful "crutch", the BO (battle orders).

as for 4th character, i'd say enchantress. to help out your or other people's new characters.

with these 4 base/foundation characters, u can than amass items (hdin, "cold" sorc, barb) for any other build that is heavily dependant on items and easily lvl them (with "chant" sorc and bo barb) up and rush them (hdin, "cold" sorc, barb).

this may not be the most fun, but i think it is the most efficient, though i could be wrong or others could disagree and have valid ideas of their own.

I agree with what Hege said. First make an Andy/meph glitching sorc for she needs almost no gear at all to do her job and to gather some gear for your followed, more gear dependant characters.

Mf barb not too hard to start with either. DOn't have to worry about str as 169 is base for most mf/gf barbs. Just buy a scepter and u can bash away act 1 ez. Keep picking up blue rings in hopes of some mana leech. Get 99 str asap to wield Great maul. After u reach 30 and move to nm, almost any mart bought from vendors is good enough to level up in nm. Snaps are dirt cheap, especially low ed ones. Save some game money, and purchase one asap, after that buy angelic amu and ring and there is nothing to stop u :)

I'm going to hardcore :) And I think that with sorc and barb will be hard :( I read the guide for paladin with holy freeze but is it good ?

Well cold pala is good for gettin basic gear like snap, angelics and irathas. So might be good choice for first char in HC. Especially if you want to play by yourself and do not want chatn etc. On the other hand at least in Eu on th epeak times there usually is an ench game up and then leveling a barb or sorc suddenly is quite easy.

BUt Cold paladin works ( atleast in normal -> normal cs nets u some basic items pretty fast) and with that you certainly can accumulate basic gear you need :thumbup:

edit: and since you go hard core i suggest that second char you make is orb glitcher. HC does not have many gf/mf barbs (atleast trav barbs) as trav is pretty hard place doing constantly without dying...

Well i assumed from the first post that you like mfing. And if you make first the cold paladin -> max you can mf in is nm -> thought that you would want a char that has atleast a chance for better items in game -> hence i suggested your second char an orb or blizz mfer...

Pala to get you very basic gear and sorc to suply nice gear for your future chars. Just my opinions you don't have to do as i suggest.

I don't like mfing and i've never do it ..but i don't know what to choose ...to mf or not ? I like to play with one hero :) OK my question is to mf or not...i will do what you suggest me because i cannot choose :) if you say dont mf it's much fun i will do it :) i dont know..just suggest me and i will find my answer :)

I'm not sure how would you acguire the gear needed in HC hell without MF'ing first. If you are starting out fresh you should firsdt MF a bit of basic gear in Nightmare and for this job I would choose a glitcher, either Blizzard or orber for Andy and Meph. This is my suggestion.

Nice :) I can play slow and when i go to nightmare i can glitch andy and meph and when i'm ready i can continue to hell :) It's like single player :) Thank you

summoners (summon necromancers) are the safest characters/builds (and they do NOT require any gear to stay alive or kill. well, u do need gear for resists as spells are always dangerous and can hit u if not careful even with a summoner) and can mf too (with mf gear, of course) at same time, but are slow (unless u make a max CE summoner).

Thank you man :thumbup: I played with summoner in softcore but wasn't fun :( But before when i played with them on hardcore i remember that it was very fun :) They don't need specific equipment but i will kill bosses to find nice items like wormskull and other unique items.
