Proof we will be visiting Arreat Crater

I was playing Diablo 2 today when I noticed something strange. I was in Act 5, arreat plateau, when I heard the music play a familiar tune. I racked my brain and sure enough, the same melody was in the theme-music for Diablo 3. The composer must be hinting that we'll return to arreat again.

Check yourself. The melody I'm referring to is at the very end of the gameplay video, when the skeletons come and the game fades.

not proof, no. But you could be right, i can see blizzard using music themes, they did with D1/D2 tristram why not the arreat highlands?

plus, i wanna go there and command big battles with the demonic hoards :D

Maybe not concrete proof but very interesting. I know how it feels to have a very strong hunch about something... My theories of Tyrael being the comet etc. were received mildly when I was so so so sure :) Even posted photos and everything...It was kind of funny, I was still a noob to the forum and got some harsh words from some others.

All I am saying is stick to your theories if you really believe them and when it happens, make sure everyone knew you predicted it :yes:

Blizzard couldn’t get the same composer for d3 that worked on the previous games, Jay Wilson talks about it in one of the video interviews, sorry.

That does not discredit his *proof* at all. The current composer can still hint at something by making things sounds like what a different composer made for the previous games.

Did we need proof? Think the cinematic trailer shows well enough that we will be going there. Also agree that Tyrael is the comet. Seems pretty obvious to me.

It takes sense to me. I think we will see some characters from old games in D3, and also some places or cities too. I think the same music is not a proof, but a good sign. I wonder if Anya will come back too.
