diablo 2 classic-i need lvling opinions

right now im lvl 66 in hell and cannot go farther than mephisto in act 3. What is the best way to gain a few levels to possibly get to 70+lvl. thanks for the advice in advance.

It also rather depends on what character class you are playing, since single element sorcs aren't very fond of the Flayer Jungle.

for cold element builds try ancient tunells in act 2, the experience there us good


for light elemental builds try arcane sanctuary, static/nova is king there

for fire elemental builds im pretty sure there are no immune in maggot lair, the monster lvl there is similar to the above 2


these places should easily get you to mid 70's


all of act 3 especially flayer is also fine

sorry i forgot to say that im a orber sorc. so where are these ancient tunnels located. im new to this game.

What sorc are you building? If your building a Andy/Meph FK sorc you could just rune them already and gain exp by doing so. If your aiming to go past act III try to get a group and get to Hell Chaos Sanctuary which yeilds the best exp..

I think those Ancient Tunnels are in act 2, Lost City wp, teleport around a bit until you find a hatch.
You could also consider hitting the act 1 end-boss (Andariel) over and over for both XP and drops.
As you are new, you may wish to read trough some of the item threads, like the rare item find and value thread to get an idea of what people find valuable and why. This will help you gather better gear and also allow you to trade with a good idea of what's worth what.

After ancient tunnel you could also kill fire-eye. Take wp to arcane and run stairs up to a portal (go through it).
