Comment on my Pure Light Javazon for MF

Hi,

I plan on making one (haven't made one yet = P). THis is gonna be my skills:

20 in CS
20 Light Fury
20 Light strike
20 Light Bolt

1 in D/A/E

Rest in Power strike also for synergy.

However, I remember reading a guide that says you only need 80 points in CS and other synergies, and just put the rest into....Jab? Why is this so ?:scratchchin: I think Jab is awesome too for LIs?

I havent got ANY of those items, gonna take ages to find them = )

Also Edit: CS and LF are affected by IAS, not FCR? Or the other way around?

Your only MF comes from Enigma? Every synergy point gonna make your CS stronger, so you can put more there (forget about jab, that doesn't give you much more damage).

Enigma... if you don't have one, you can't build a character around it. Most Enigma wearing characters have 0 points added in STR. Rather count with Tal Rasha/Skullder's Ire...

CS and LF are devastating skills, you need +skills for them to be strong. Deadly strike and +enhanced damage from phoenix do no good, your physical damage is low. So +2 skill amulet (Maras or good rare with mana and / or mana leech) is must.

Your resists with listed gear are negative. Wear Sanctuary or Moser's blessed circle (with pdiamonds) EDIT: or Spirit Monarch.

3 java skills/20%IAS gloves are superior gloves for lightning zon (and shoppable)

Wartravs if you want MF.

Razortail is good against large mobs... TGods for Baal runs.

CS and LF are affected by IAS.

I'm going to echo part of the previous post. With the gear you've got there, your resistances are going to be abysmally low in Hell. Though you might not want to sacrifice the Engima, I'd suggest going with CoH instead, as long as you're flying high with the gear.

Also, though it may not be as big of a concern, your FHR is also going to be pretty low. If you want to run into crowds with CS, then you need to be able to recover quickly. Spirit could solve some of the res and fhr issues; alternatively, you could seek out charms to supplement.

The Pheonix is a great shield, but if you find you die alot because of low resists, I suggest you use Spirit as main shield and Pheonix on switch.

P.S. If doing pure lightning, you WILL need infinity. Hybrids can get away with those but will only have at best 60 points to LF + CS +1 synergy.

Hmmm...Hrus you just reminded me....I just realized my only MF comes from Enigma???

LOL! If so, can I ditch Griff for shako then? I thought survivalibility > Power > Mf?

Yes, that's true. Oh wait, my lvl 97 MF lightning zon never had infinity.

@sumosalad: With D/A/E and good block (I found that 50-60%block is enough) survivalibility will not be an issue if you manage to get your resists high.
With Griffon's Eye you will be much stronger against LIs broken by Infinty/Lower Resist. Shako is ok in terms of MF and comfort (huge life and mana bonus).

I would not ditch enigma....the mobility that comes from the teleport is really the difference in being able to mf a large amount of areas. I mf all acts with my pure light java (infin merc) all i do for tele port is throw on spirit and a wiz spike in the second slot. that coupled with griffs gives u enough FCR to teleport effectively. Keep the griffs and get some mf sc's and res sc's. That will make up for some of the res loss. U don't need a full stash of skillers anyways.Phoenix is a great shield...if ur runinng out of mana when u tele which u shouldn't....then switch to jav/phoenix and pitch away..ur mana will come back nicely. rince lather and repeat. Gheeds is valuable so get yourself a nice one if u don't have already.

I should also say that wiz spike is valuable for the res. if u find urself taking to much..souls etc... then switch out to ur wizzy and tele somewhere safe. Res are nice...but u don't need them super high...i run 8 player chaos games with low res and do just fine
