Many people ask if diablo 2 on battle.net is a pvp oriented environment. I say no it is not but it surely has potential which was revealed by the creation of d2pk realm. I will give you an example of a pvp oriented game:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quake 3 arena:

- Implementation of a fast, simple but efficient graphic engine
- Creation of a pvp environment and competition mecanics
- Servers open minded towards 3rd party software and pvp enhancing mods
- Creation of endless mod servers with endless pvp setups, weapons and challenges

One of the best quake 3 pvp mod is the Quake defrag mod, basically allows to move much faster in the environment and greatly enhances the pvp experience for all players, a bit like tmc in diablo 2.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Many people argue about this but as a professional gamer I can say that if Diablo2 battle.net was a pvp oriented environment then mods like TMC, or Maphack would have became patch material and after a few patches everyone would have access to the most advanced pvp improvements.

Battle.net demonised the use of maphack as the ultimate evil while in fact such useful features should have long been patched. It was the same with tmc features, basically anything that can make the game pvp oriented and ESPECIALLY PVP FAIR, meaning everyone has good gear, was rejected and banned. Such ''fair'' duels are like the 200/142 fber duels on d2pk which only reveal the player skill in the wins so such things do exist and are fun to play.

Why? Because Diablo is a show off game. You show your friend your 141 shako and 1378 ap nigma and are so proud of yourself you can even get an orgasm once in a while. You spend hours getting gear, and probably lots of money too that blizzard cashes in with joy, why make it pvp, pvm pays better. So we'll let the idiots mf for weeks then, when they see that we give them no chance to gear themselves up, they will buy our fake items for a real $ value.
I am telling you the truth! This is real.

Many people contradict me and say that Blizzard wants to compensate dedicated players for their work and that's why good items drop...almost not at all. That is totally wrong. People who spend 2 months to go 99 should then be largely compensated by 100 stat points and 20 more skills to use. So it is not a ''compensation'' matter it is a $ matter, a matter where you buy items in stores to be good.
Also some idiot who spends 1 month to mf hes compensated with a nigma 2x sojs and a few gc lifers when I can scam all that from jsp in 1 hour. How is that person compensated for his work? I clearly don't understand it.

You must look at bnet and see it as it is. You curse the bilion spambots entering the games telling you to go buy gear and say to yourself '' God so many bots bnet can't ban them all sight'' Not true. Quake 4 or Halo don't have bots telling you to buy gear. If things are this way, it's because that's how they were meant to be, and originally conceived and directed. The bots are there because bnet wants them to be there, the pvp is ****ty because bnet wants it to be ****ty, the items don't drop because bnet wants you to buy them.
I am telling you the truth!

So as a conclusion for people talking about pvp, there won't be any good pvp around and you probably won't be able to tele on your barbs until 2013 when a d3nigma will appear and people will spend money in stores etc.

Will diablo3 even have a pvp? There is no need for diablo 3 to have a pvp...look: All you have to do is play the game, buy fake items from the stores and you'll be good. Having 100 000 people dueling in the same time doesn't bring money to the company... it's completely useless so there probably won't be any pvp in diablo3.
However, if you're getting an orgasm over a 1378 nigma, it's your lucky day, diablo3 will be your paradise! With rainbows and stuff!

So...it's hopeless, because of the item corruption system.

How long it took you to write all that nonsense? Blizzard does not profit from maphack. You believe that those item sellers are some 3rd party Blizzard online stores? What else do you believe? That Blizzard is some masonic order with loads of conspiracies against you "ordinary player"? What else?

You are wrong, there will be strong PvP in D3 simply because Blizzard cares too much for e-sport, it gives them enormous publicity.

Ok son, I admit that some ideas in my post are questionable but if 2 ideas out of 20 are questionable doesn't mean that the whole post is a failure.

Well heres some facts:

- The Diablo items are sole property of blizzard entertainment.
- Duplicating items for $ profit cannot be possible without the authorization of the owner.
- Spam bots are never banned, I recall names that spammed for more then 1 year on the same account.
- The spambots number dramatically increased in the last ladder season and after bnet banned 350 000 accounts, nobody noticed any decrease in the bot spam, the bots were intact.
- There are 40 good working stores, producing overall 200 000$ in item sales per month, blizzard seems to get a share in exchange of the right of sale and item editing tools.

Only technically.

How is it not possible .. where did you get that from ?

How can anyone prevent any D2 owner from duplicating items and selling them offline or online !!!?

- Spam bots are never banned, I recall names that spammed for more then 1 year on the same account.

Just because "you" recall few names of spammers who got away with spamming doesn't mean in any way that you can claim to know you are knowledgeable about all the other spammers who probably got caught ... we don't have access to that info to prove or disprove what you said.

- The spambots number dramatically increased in the last ladder season and after bnet banned 350 000 accounts, nobody noticed any decrease in the bot spam, the bots were intact.

That's meaningless, if those spammers where making profit out of their dupes then they surely have enough money to buy two or even three copies of diablo2 whenever they get banned on their first D2 copy ... that's why the decrease in spam won't be significant nor can we claim to be able to accurately or fairly count the actual number of spammers after and before the mass ban.

- There are 40 good working stores, producing overall 200 000$ in item sales per month, blizzard seems to get a share in exchange of the right of sale and item editing tools.

lols, and why share any money with anyone .. are they retarded !!!? .. i guess not ... Blizz could have simply legally sold items like countless other games out there (MMOs and non-MMOs) and they would make x10 more profit ... seriously if people are this desperate to get hi-level items then surely they would have bought it if Blizz officially made an items store you use real $ to buy from.

Your claims (you call facts) are really laughable IMO since you can't even prove a single one of those claims ... not to mention that they don't make much sense anyway.

Well since no one can stop you from duplicating copy righted material then go burn 1000 music cds of Justin Timberlake and sell then for 9.99$ in your store see how long you last before you make a nice trip in jail.

That's a bit unrealistic, unless Blizzard got rather deep into the concept of political propaganda. What's more realistic is, that they've opened up two or three itemshops to get the accountinfos on people tending to use those shops, then ban them to slowly dry out the businessground for the illegal itemshops. But news of that would spread very soon, brought out by similaritys of the gamers banned. Thus also not really realistic.

It's just hard to keep all involved people from talking. So no: You're completely off track.

Not if they are made trough playing.

Rofl, what makes you think it's impossible?

Those 350.000 acc have nothing to do with Spam-Bots. Spam-Bots are tolerated on BNet, and that is a good thing. You just don't see why.

- There are 40 good working stores, producing overall 200 000$ in item sales per month, blizzard seems to get a share in exchange of the right of sale and item editing tools.
Blizzard employees have 60.000-120.000$ salary and there is about 600 Blizzard employees. I don't see any reason why would Blizzard risk to do such a thing for such a small profit. 200.000$ means nothing to them. You are wrong again.
