Hi all, I am starting off this new season with a FC pvm druid. My first shape shifter druid ever on ladder!

I am currently following the FC pvp druid guide by superjayson but unsure about the weapon use. So far, I've used the khalim's will and now using tal rasha's staff, at lvl 18 (I lost the mace when I went to nightmare @ lvl 13 -_-)

It looks like staves do a little bit faster than maces...

Anyhooo, which weapon is good for a pvm FC druid?

having a fast attack with a phase blade would be pretty awesome...but my crushing blow would suffer a lot. I am planning on using goblin toe if I do decide on the phase blade (4 shaels + 15 ias jewel) though. With the ribcracker, I can switch to aldur's boots.

so which one would you choose?

I have just done what you are about to do so here is some advice.

As an FC druid you can go either wolf or bear, and which form you are in affects your weapon choice.

At mid level Ribcraker staff is great as a wolf, and can be upgraded later for great effect and CB. It works great with Fury!

As a Bear you need to get to 4 or 5 frames per attack. A 110 IAS Phas Blade gets to 4, or (see the recent thread) a Griswolds Caduceus with a shael and 3 15Ias/40max dmg jewels. The Griwolds Caduceus has decent physical damage for Fire Immunes and better Life Leach, as well as 5 Frames per attack - i think its great! You can also Maul Fire Immunes too.

Personally i am favouring Bear form for Fire Claws, since you have Shock Wave for crowd control, Maul for Physical Immunes, and better life and AC. But the great thing about being a FC druid is you try Wolf and Bear!

You will also need Carrion Vine to top up your life, as Fire Claws wont give you much leach. CV is a 1 point wonder!

As to shields i went for a 4 fire facet shield! As apparently Dragons' Firestorm interupts too much although i havent actually tried it!
