1. Don't worry about what most people are doing. Centering your game around that is a good way to not have fun.
2. Just play the areas that you can do.
3. If you were rushed through the game, start over with a new character so that you can actually learn how to play the game. Don't accept any rushes or free items for this first character. You would do well to play "untwinked" the first time around.
4. Make a character to do magic finding. Blizzballer, Meteorb, and Fishymancer are all good choices. Look in the stickied guides in the sorc and necro forums.

use your lvl 70 pala to run NM mephisto for some keeper-items. you can keep or trade them later (that is, if your pala can do that efficiently, if he sucks too much at even that, make a blizzard sorc)
also remember to strap on as much MF gear as you can without hurting your killing speed/safety too much (shouldn't be a problem with a sorceress), also, sorceress gets teleport!
EDIT: your lvl is too low for hell, run NM baal or cows to get more experience besides the (maybe) nice items that'll also drop, reach lvl 75 before you even start Act 1 hell
(for more experience, join games with lots of players, because they have more difficult monsters adn therefore give more exp)
Yeah, poor little boy, you don't have Enigma. Guess what, 99% people don't have legit Enigma.
HRs are supposed to be like very very very very very rare. That's why 99.99% of HRs on BNet are duped runes. So don't bother to look for them in actual game. Instead read the sticky in newcomer forum "How to build wealth..."

i know some people in single player who run until they have enough for an enigma and then quit the game because it took so long XD
I once had an Enigma... got it from someone else on the forums right before I quit for WoW. It was at the end of a ladder season, I gave it to Suggestivename then jumped to WoW ...I never wore or used it.
I had an Enigma on Bnet once.
Someone loaned it to me and I forgot and logged out*. :D
To be more constructive; it depends on what your goals are. Do you want to better your play skills, so you can play through the game using just what you find? Do you want to be a major MF'er and trader? Do you want to have a level 90 char that sits in Uber runs? Do you want to be able to rush new characters?
The beauty of D2 is the way it has so much variety in the way it can be played. First you need to give us a bit more information on what you are trying to achieve.
Have a look at these:

If you're a complete beginner, start here. Great introduction to the classes and their more simple builds. Every build here will get you up and running from nothing.

This is a guide building wealth on Bnet but it has some good advice on starting characters and progression.
The Fisheh Page (http://chrisclarke.co.uk/nightfish.html) - compiled by Thyiad
A compilation of Guardians and other Guides by Nightfish. Always well written and very informative. Varying degrees of difficulty. Some of these will require good gear, NF has Fortitude glued to every character IIRC.
The SPF Mat/Pat/Guardian Compilation V3.0 (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=653086) - compiled by Winmar
A great place to look for slightly off the wall builds. It's a typical example of builds done by SPF'ers, many HC, untwinked and from tournaments. This shows you what you can do if you play through the game. Some off the wall builds, some power builds, it's all in here.
Build Guide v2 (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=528723) - compiled by Hrus
This is a comprehensive list of builds covering diabloii.net and the Strategy Compendium. Some advanced builds, but some really interesting ones too. You are likely to need gear for many of these. But MFers, rushers, power houses, they are all in here.

Great information for the poor. Wonderful section on low level MFing.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Use this and watch those low level uniques and rares roll in. An eye opener.
MF Oddballs (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=373249[/url) by Nightfish
A beginners guide to MF. A great overview, good pointers and an explanation of diminishing returns.
MF Guide for 1.10/1.11 (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=412453) by Hrus
This is an amazingly detailed reference work for the serious MFer. It comes complete with full mathmatical explanations and is a must read for those who take their MF seriously.
Have a read of the Stickies; check the SPF if you aren't into the duped wealth that Bnet has. We're generally a bit more wealthless and so might be more appropriate to your needs. The SPF FAQ has a huge section on MF and Rune hunting.
Please don't forget to have fun. If you aren't having fun, don't bother playing!
