I propose that Blizzard adopt the PVP aspect of the game Nox (or some of their ideas at least) for their upcoming Diablo III. Nox is a fast-paced top-down isometric RPG that was developed and released by the now defunct Westwood Studios in 2000. It sported a multiplayer that gave all players pre-leveled characters who possessed weapons and armor, (evening out the playing field) then dropped them off in an arena that was littered with other items to fight it out until the frag count was hit. Here is a video of the PVP system in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGbJvbDMEf8. Aside from deathmatch and one-on-one matches, Nox's PVP system also supports capture the flag. The implication of such a system of course is that your pre-leveled/pre-equipped PVP character would be separate from your cooperative/single player character.

Sounds like a great idea (btw you made me interested in this game, I will see If I can find it somewhere), its well balanced and much more skill based. Unfortunately I guess that will never happen because get so attached to their characters that they want to take them to the battle and not predefined one.

But if they could mix the best of both worlds with a cool map based around this concept it would be awesome.

Great idea, and i too think they can mix the ideas from Nox with the traditional diablo PVP and leveling style ... it could be imitated in D3 by allowing characters of similar levels ( with a 5 levels gap for example ) to compete in team matches and capture the flag like matches, or even death matches with frag counters ... this will make the game more fun and balanced while keeping it faithful to previous diablos.
