How does -enemy def work with -% enemy def?

I asked this in the Zon forum, because I'm making a Zon with Fleshripper (-50% Target Defense) and I wanted to know if maxing Inner Sight was a good idea, but nobody there knew how the two would mix.

In retrospect, this was the right place to ask.

So...Fleshripper has -50% Target Defense and level 23 Inner Sight gives -1015 Target Defense. How do they work together? And are the monster defense values listed on the Arreat Summit accurate?

I gave you an answer in there already.

Inner Sight subtracts from (base + gear) defence, and -50% Target's Defence (item based) works on total defence.

Yeah, but you said you weren't sure, haha. That's why I wanted someone to confirm it. Should I look into monstats.txt to find the defense of monsters? And how do I find this file?
