Opinions Wanted: Venom and Dragon Talon

In your Honest Opinion. The opinion of someone who has played a Dragon Talon Assassin before. Is it worth investing a 20 points into Venom. And If not, How much?

If you intend to use DTalon mostly for Act bosses then it isn't really worth it. If you intend to use DTalon all the time then it is worth the full 20 points.

Of course maxing one skill also means not maxing another, so it also depends a little on what you are giving up.

I agree with stephan, depending on the build it could work out maxed rather than 1 point, on others it would be better at 1 point, mind posting up your build?

for PvM, nah, not really worth it unless you're a pure kicker with little else to do with the skillpoints.

my PvM k/t'sin has a base-point venom and uses a Treachery, which seems to work just spiffingly.

for PvP: maxing Venom is a must for kickers and ww'users.

I'm no authority, but I only put 1 point in venom when I make a PvM kicker. My PvM kickers use high CB and Death Sentry to kill. With high CB a monsters life is low fast and then its just a sec or two to get it dead. After 1 or 2 monsters are down Death Sentries usually annihilate the rest.

I guess my point is Venom is not really adding much as far as PvM killing speed. I would not consider maxing Venom unless I plan on doing some PvP. Even maxxed at 20 with Bramble and Trang gloves Venom is just not needed for a fast killing PvM kicker.

I consider it a one point wonder for a PvM kicker.

I could Post my build if you want it? Its a mix of the Rift Kicker and the Blade Sin, Im probably going to sub out the Rift Scepter for an Death Eth Berzerker.
