what to socket ribby/ethereal bonehew with?

I have just found a ribcracker and before that was using an ethereal bonehew in single player. can anyone tell me the best thing to socket these with?

I normally socket my Ribby with a Shael, because in many setups this will speed up my attack speed by a frame. If you're rich you might go with with an IAS/ED jewel and hope that the 5% loss in IAS won't affect your speed.

Bonehew is a cheap weapon for your mercenary. I'd socket it with an Amn for the life leech to start with. After that if depends on your wealth. A Ber would be good, but if you can afford this you might as well go with better merc weapons (Infinity, Reaper's Toll, Insight). If you stick with Bonehew I guess the best (cheap) choice is 2xAmn.
