View Full Version : Trapsin viable?
Hello everybody,
Iīm coming back to D2 after a major break and was thinking about doing my first assassin. Is a lightning trapsin able to take on the game without any good starting gear? I havenīt got any items left from the old days so I will begin anew.
Thank you for your answers.

It is a very safe build, merc/shadow for tanks, CoS can keep you safe, mindblast, and Death Sentry is one of the best room clearing skills in the game.
Thanks. Does any of you know any good guide for skill allocation and such? I looked but I couldnīt find any nice pvm one.
Best one :) (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=660248)
Sweet. Thanks man.
It will sure take some time to fully understand the assassin though. Lots of new terms and items for me :scratchchin:
Since it doesnīt state anything about pvm, how liable is it in hell? What can it do and what canīt it?
It's similarly useful for PvM. The main difference is that you'll have to deal with LI mobs, so FB + CoS plays a bigger role (like bamfs said).
For skill / trap explanation, it's a good guide, and even gives options for gear (or around what would be optimal for pvm too).

Just don't put any lightning facets in your gear. Please >.<

Don't look for expensive helms like Griffons first either (you only need Griffons if you are into pvp for the FCR). :whistling:
Go for + skill items and hope that someone is kind enough to shop around at Anya for +3 traps claws and sell to u as well. Merc you can start with Insight (although trapsins require very little mana once LS and synergies are maxed out, flipside you can spam Firebombs till no tomorrow) or Reaper's Toll or Infinity to help kill faster.

I'll see that guide and raise you this one (http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=513) :)
(Not that I don't rate TineJe's guide- I just think this one is more suitable for what the OP wanted.)
O.O 5 pages, it's huge! And it still has dust on it :P
Besides, he just wanted skills, etc & it just came to mind ^^
They both fill their purpose.
The last one is great.
I need all the info I can get so 5 pages is perfect. I really enjoyed the item part. Far better than listing specific items in my humble opinion. Thank you for your replies!
