View Full Version : Is an elemental/Summoner druid a pipe dream?

Alright, I've just recently begun playing D2 again after many years of inactivity. I'm playing a paladin, necromancer and sorceress all with separate people, and I need a fourth class to try. Necromancer's my favorite, so I figured that Druid could be pretty fun as well. In the same vein, but the exact same class.

Only thing is, I don't see many people using this.. so are there any solid builds that I could go with, or is my hope of playing an elemental summoner kaput?

Thanks for any advice you can toss my way.

It's viable, but I'm sure it would be expensive, as you would need +skill charms for more dmg and facets to help break immunities. I had an elemental druid the last time I stopped playing and he kind of crapped out at the end of nm.

I'm playing one, and I had a lot of fun playing him. It's probably the best choice for me being untwink, as I only had to focus on getting +skill and resist. I don't had to worry about FCR, IAS, leech or block rate which often result in poor resists for untwinked character. I'm consider him a less bother runner than Necro because I don't need corpse to recast my summons. And also a more relaxing sorc because I had summons to tank for me. Of course, he won't be able to compete with both classes in the damage area. But he's perfect for me after trying many other builds.

check out this guy's journey through HC hell with a naked druid, he IS an elementally oriented summoner, although a bit unorthodox
