View Full Version : How Effective is Carrion Vine?

Some where i remember a very heated debate on carrion vine and one of the members of this debate was totaly convinced that it was very helpful on hell. I ran the skill calc and wasn't too impressed, Im making a Mauler(PvM) and was considering summons, and thinking a badass vine might be kinda cool. Pls lemme know.

just looked at it at slvl 1 it gives back 4% life since u are makeing a bear you will hav alot of life so think about it this way, if u have 1000 life it gives back 40 life thats handy and because you will be a bear u should have tons more life than that
so i would put 1 point in it or 15 MAX at slvl 15 it gives 10% life back!

It's a 1 pt wonder. It's great for clearing corpses from reviving enemies and healing you after a battle while you sift through the drops.

This is totally true. As a bear with massive life, if you try to heal yourself with just red potions, you'll run out really fast. With your plus skills, the Healing % goes to around 6 or 7%.

And I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe that's 6 or 7% of the corpse life, not your life. Since monsters in Hell have so much life, the 6 to 7% of corpse life will be an even higher % of your werebear's life.

So get 1 point into Carrion vine. It's worth it.

If its monsters hp or the summoners hp it doesn't matter, its still an amazing skill.

On top of its healing effects its also another target to take fire away from you. Vines are immune to almost all enemy missile attacks, and they just keep firing away at it...

ya was never sure about where the % life was taken from but since it never said corpse life i alwas just thought it was a % of yours

I put 1 point in it on my Towndump Werebear and it was very much worth it. Highly recommended.

IMO the Poison Creeper is more useful, though not so great on high numbers of players.

ya poisen creeper can have its uses but i would still go with CV
and yes ll can help, but with CV you will get life from dead PIs which ll doesnt work on (unless they are amped)
