seriously folks no one is posting these days, is it because of this diablo lore famine or what. every thread thgat people try to start is pretty much just ignored.
why is it that most other forums have great communitys, but here no one can be bothered
feedback people.
I post on whatever I can, but I do see that business is slow.

its alot more activity here when blizzard gives us something new, but it has been a diablo drought for 3-4 months or something now
I check things out everyday, but its true blizzard hasn't given us anything cool to talk about. they should give use something big. they know what the next char. is going to be. why not just tell use the build, we don't any visual stuff. Just tell use some facts. What are they working on now...specificlhy

But really, I'd chime in more here if I cared more about the lore ;p (well, more than the basics)
We're going to find out the next class in May, with a fake one in April.

Basically it is lack of talking materials .. as long as they don't release any new info there is nothing new to talk about ... all old subjects have already been discussed to death over and over.

This place has imo the greatest community I've seen on any D2 related site. The lack of new threads and feedback is probably caused because things were discussed over and over until more or less all options have been discussed. Just wait until Blizz throws out some more info on D3 and this place will be much more active again. :thumbup:
This place is hardly dying in my opnion, true the initial hype of DIII has died down and there isn't something new on a daily/weekly basis, but the community here isn't going anywhere.
The D3 subs are only part of these forums, this is a large community and there are people all over the boards. There are plenty of old timers (people here since 2003) that are either still here day in and day out and there are many that joined since then that are still here or check back on a regular basis.
Most would choose staying here vs. the official forums very easily...it's a friendlier atmosphere here by far.
We aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

WW3 starts: EMP missiles fall all over the world and the human race goes back to be a pre-electricity civilization...
This could be a part of D3 lore for all we know ;)
Something like a reverese Illusion of Gaia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illusion_of_Gaia) story.

hopefully eh folks.
it was mostly the lore forum i was talking about, but yeh i see your point folks. it just seems to me that there is a noticible lack of sad freaks, like me who love to study the story line of great worlds like diablo.
*Important update*
I finished my Drizzt book and have just started on The Diablo Archive (1st 4 books in one giant book). Is gd.
There are 2 good reasons :
1. There is no new update or whatever that makes people want to talk about the lore. Everything have been said, every stupid guess was tried and analysed and really, we're left with nothing now to discuss the lore. We can just wait and see.
2. There have never been many posts in this section of this forum.

Coincidentally, this thread started on February the 1st... Some "one" might be trying to say something...
For lore fans, Books will drop off of shelves and monsters. You can pick them up and use them, where they will be read to you while you fight, podcast style.
Speaking of the Diablo Drought by the way, do any of you remember when those new screenshots came, or what it was? Would be good to split up the article timeline to take into account that we DID get a small spray of art =)
Still, I am really waiting for another entry from Abd al-Hazir!!
As a brief comment to the community in general, I know that interest sank steadily since BlizzCon 2008, but around November last year, it turned, and interest in Diablo (D1, D2, D3) has slowly and steadily increased since then.
Mind you, this is similar to what happened with SC2, after announcement...

I would really want to know more about Trag'Oul and "the others" tbh. I wonder who/what they are. Maybe defenders of other planets?

There is this one quote, where he let Uldyssian get away, like he expected him to... What do you guys think? May he be working with Trag'Oul? Or is it the Primes? Or is he just a lone ranger? He is just such an awesome character...

lol were all streaching with some of the theorys around here. I think that realy tyrael is just what it he is. The embodyment of justice. I think that when he first appears in the trilogy he is no different from the others i.e. seeking to destroy hell, end of. But when he learns more of the nephalem this is when he truly becomes the arch angel of justice. He stops judging ulldysian and crew because they are half demon offspring and realises they can and will do good.
i personaly believe tyrael is a "lone ranger" as you put it, like trag'oul but not working with him. Although they do seem to have simmilar views regarding the nephalem.
Wow, I love all the lore stuff, but I don't get this far. All I could possibly learnt about the Sin War was in Diablo I, but when I played it (at 12) I barely speaked english (even less than now).
I'm more interested in creating a thread about the NPCs that will reappear from D1 and D2, but I can't create a title for it (yes, I know it sounds stupid), so, feel free to do so if you want to.

Just one phrase... There are others but what their functions are, is currently unknown... Other Sanctuaries maybe, personally I hope not... So many holes in Diablo lore...

I don't think it is other Sanctuary's, but other worlds perhaps. So long as we don't have to visit 'em just yet I'm good. But knowing a bit more about them would be awesome^^

When I say other sanctuaries, I mean other "worlds", I mean what is a world in Diablo? Are there planets? Or just planes? Is there a solar system? A lot of people went on about this a few weeks back, and all I say is RELAX! Just because we get a ring of the Zodiac, doesn't mean there are constellations, there might be, but we don't know. Just because there is a meteor, doesn't mean there is a solar system, or a meteor band between Mars and Jupiter. (I still believe the meteor isn't a meteor, if you understand what I am saying) This is a fictional universe, anything is possible... Remember, even though we call the world Sanctuary, thats like calling a spade, Spade. Sanctuary is a sanctuary for rogue angels and demons. So its more than possible that there are other sanctuaries... I don't like that idea, I prefer different planes... But my preference is of no consequence...
Just a thought, aka, what are your opinions... Maybe the "other Trag'Oul" protects Heaven and another Hell?

What I mean is that Sanctuary is the name given to their planet, just like we call our Earth. Describing it as other "sanctuarys" make sense I guess, but since we don't know I'd rather describe them as planets (or planes, which would work for me aslo). Anyway I agree on the meteor thing, I don't think it's a meteor tbh. It actually kinda reminded me of infernals from WC3 in a way.
I don't think they would be protecting Heaven and Hell perhaps, but other planets certainly. Maybe what Trag'Oul did in the Sin Wars disrupted some kind of balance, revealing other planets containing rouge angels and demons? I just hope that the story in D3 will asnwer a lot of the questions we have here :)
I come here on a daily basis :)
