1 or 2 barbs need help

hi all, i wanna know if the barbs i'm gonna make will be good for nm act4, hopefuly not going to hell with them.


doubleswing barb concentrate barb

lvl 20 bo (DS/con)

lvl 20 natrul resists (DS/con)

lvl 20 shout (DS/con)

lvl 20 ironskin (DS/con)

lvl 20 concentrate (con)

rest to weapon mastery



would one of these 2 builds work, i do have good gear just need to know if these 2 barbs will survive in nm.

"doubleswing barb" would need to be at least level 85.
"concentrate barb" would require 92 before you get one point in mastery.

Skills like natural resistance give diminished returns. A few points is all you need.

More important than defense is chance to block and resistances. One point in shout and one point in iron skin should be enough.

Since nm CS would be more like sixty skill points and you want to use Double Swing instead of Frenzy, I'd say...
max Bash
1 in Double Swing
4 Mastery
1 Increased Stamina, Speed, Iron Skin
5 Natural Resistance
1 Howl, Shout, Battle Command
max Battle Orders
More points in Mastery if you need AR (+8% AR vs Double Swing's +5%).

A Concentrate Barb would be virtually exactly the same
1 in Bash, Stun
20 Concentrate
4 Mastery
1 Increased Stamina, Speed, Iron Skin
5 Natural Resistance
1 Howl, Shout, Battle Command
max Battle Orders

Your biggest problem is how are you going to kill groups of monsters with concentrate ?

Double swing is a good skill but not half as much fun as frenzy - with that on right click, you simply hold right mouse and 'steer' your barb to groups of enemies...:thumbup:

i suggest reading 1 of the frenzy guides posted in the barb forum, in classic, the best option would be to use warcry to stun, then kill the monsters with frenzy.

why? because the best place for a barb to get experience (outside of cs) is killing urdars in the river of flame, you will need them to be stunned or they will stun you
