Hello all, my first post here, so nice to meet you.

I would like to see an easy way to compare any two items.

Let's say you have 5 items (inventory, stash or equipped). You click on one (so it will become selected) and then you hover the other. Instead of showing only the info for the hovered item, we should see the info for both selected and hovered item.
This will be a clean and easy way, i think.
Maybe you can activate/deactivate this in the game options.

I hope it is clear, i'm pretty bad at explanations :P

Welcome. It seems like presently when you hover over a item in inventory it also shows the current equiped item for that slot. That would be a good way to compare to nonequiped items though.

It would be nice to allow you to select what to compere, not only the equipped items.
This is why i said select an item and hover another, so you will be able to compare what you want/need. And it would be also nice to allow this to work on items from stash/inventory/equipped items.

Yeah it is a nice idea. I think people have made some addons to enable this kind of feature in wow.. so in D3 it would be nice to have.

So by default you would always compare it to the items you wear but by shift clicking or something you would change the default comparison.

I really enjoyed that system in Mythos, it was nice to be able to quickly compare equipped items w/ whatever you were hovering over.

And let's not forget shift linking! This pearl of a feature that's an integral part of many a MMO should not be missing in a item focussed game such as Diablo III

The comparing feature would be great on simple items but what if you're using it on a rare, powerful item lol?

Say you're comparing a Fort with Nigma, you'll have too many differences in it to differentiate what is better.
