Dreams when playing hardcore

Am I crazy?

But everytime I play diablo 2 exp again, I start dreaming about it... (yes, I only play hardcore anymore, I just can't get myself to do anything else, there's no thrill in softcore, you're just like "meh, what does it matter")

The last time it usually involved horrible lightning beetles swarming you the moment you step down the bonus temples in Kurast... and your merc rushing to jab them...

I just started playing again, and last night I dreamed about dying from a d/c on a Shenk run. Cough.

Sillay, insane... I don't know. But hardcore apparently is emotionally moving enough to make it into my dreams, at least...

Hmm, okay I’ll admit that I’ve had that dream too. Well not that exact one (that would be crazy), but you get the idea. I think that D2 dreaming is most likely to hit me if I have been doing something repetitive in game (i.e. a dozen Hell Baal walks). I’m not sure why my characters always die in my dreams (I’m not that bad of a player) but perhaps it’s better than me dying in my dreams . . . well, I guess that’s up for debate . .

Hasn't happened to me with Diablo yet, but when I was still fanatically playing Doom and Quake it was sure to happen every now and then :)

I had a dream where my character was running around Rogue Encampment in his underwear! Very embarrassing!

When I played Hardcore for the first time at the start of this Ladder season, the game affected my health. I seem to remember it sneaking into my dreams at one point or another, but the main symptom I remembered was nearly having a heart attack every time my character was in danger of dying.

Hmm. I've had dreams where I'm playing and someone whispers things to me that are either unbelievable or hurtful, or both.

Not even my low self esteem can escape Diablo....

I've had many a Diablo 2 dream in my day. Sometimes I've had wicked characters, most of the time I've lost or NDE'd a character that I've recently been working hard on. Only to get out of bed and find them perfectly healthy.

Two Seasons ago, I had this vivid dream at the beginning of the ladder that my baba got FE'd by the Witch Doctor in Act 3! <sweat!>
All the people I played with at the time laughed at me, but that is b/c they sucked and were not hardcore at all... :P
