Most of the guides and opinions I've seen seem to advocate maxing WW much more than feral rage, but when looking at the two skills I can't really tell why that's the case.
The final 10 levels of WW yield 11% IAS and +150% AR
The final 10 levels of feral rage yield 40% life steal and +90% AR but only for feral rage (along with 8% run speed and +50% dmg on the feral rage attack, but in non-uber runs I imagine the bulk of the dmg always comes from fury anyway)
Looking at these two, there is clearly a noticeable AR increase from maxing WW, which transfers to Fury. Yet feral rage is up pretty much full time and thats a huge 40% more life steal (10% in Hell I believe). So is the AR the reason people seem to advocate WW over feral rage, and is it really better? I don't claim to be an expert so I'm hoping to hear from people that have made successful werewolves and know better than I could just by looking at the numbers. If it makes a difference, I like to play solo and hope to use this character to do normal and mf runs for drops. Ubers may eventually be a possibility but it's not the original plan.
