Ive seen fire elemental druids out there before they did well actly. I have a load of fun fighting them. They had a basic caster set up. Nothing really fancy but they did use a chickin hat.

You speak of the Grizzly Geddon .. Kind of takes some high end gear but its viable and fun as well .. Do a search and you should find some more info on this ... Warning - switching back to human to cast Geddon can be very tedious and not for the fast paced player ...

The most effective way to make a character around Armageddon is by using the Kodiak setup (created by SSOG):

1 Werewolf
1 Werebear
10-20 Lycanthropy
1 Maul
1 Hunger
1 Shockwave
20 Armageddon
rest in Armageddon synergies

You use Maul and Hunger as main attacks, and you need equipment with sufficient Crushing Blow.

Geddon lasts for very short time, bear lasts long ,and cast-shift-unshift-cast-shift... is not good. Any other ideas?

You can cast Armagedon while shifted.

Its armagedon so you'll need at Least 80 points into Fire for it to be effective. Okay, so from there that limits you to one-pointers in your token spells like oak, maul, maybe griz...etc

The build I went for worked well, I used Azurewrath/Destruction PB and Phoenix to pummel with ctc synergized boulders, volcanos, & firestorms. sactuary and redemption make a pretty solid defense, I also liked Destruction with SS 'ber' for better protection.
Destruction takes a lil extra Oias help to hit a good attack speed, I think 60% Oias will go from 13->8 or 9 fpa. I used Lower IK+ Highlords+ ias jewel in jalals(25+20+15= 60%). For azurewrath you just need 10% to hit 6 frames. I loved the build though, it was just friggin sweet..got lots of complements and "lolwtfshennanigans!" lol

Woah Jary, that sounds like a pretty ballin' build. Possibly guide-worthy.
What armor / Merc set-up did you use?
And how did your skill placement look?
Oak or HoW?
I think I may take a stab at one of those bears.

Infinity, COH, Gaze A2 'Holyfreeze' merc.
1 Oak
1 up to shockwave
90+ Fire

I believe my gedon hit ~10k, which was enough to insta-kill most non-FI's. Triggered Volcanos/firestorms+maul would lock down and tear apart everyone else, and surprisingly.. molten boulder was one of my fav procs to go off since I found the knockback really helpful if I get mobbed at times. Otherwise, shockwave is always there ;P

Sounds interessting, but I think I will try as a armageddon/volcano melee druid, after time I will maybe try to add some shape-shifting. Nice gear set-up Jary!

hey thanks.

Yeah, I basically played as a firedruid 90% through the game; like a butterfly.. made the metamorphosis into awesomeness later in hell ;)

I stash Hoto/sojs/basic ele ammy/magefists/spider for fun. I generally... unless I know its a good melee matchup, only duel as a firedruid, I pvm as bear. I mean, besides losing bout 5-6 points in Shape basically am fire druid lol that's another great thing about build, all elemental based.

FC Druids play the same way until like level 25-30. My FC/Rabies Wolf was a Fissure whore until like lvl 32.

When I will add SS skills(probably bear), what gloves should I use? Magefist?

Bloodfist. FCR isn't a big concern for Fire Druids and Bears get some silly fast frames >.>.

Bloodfist all the way?! Well they have so realy good mods, but magefist would be for fire skill levels not FCR
