Just read the excellent Fire Claws Guide, and it got me thinking - Fireclaws and Armageddon share allot of Synergies, is it worth sacrificing 20+ skill points to get Armageddon maxed, and then use an Earthshifter (+7 Elemental Skills) on switch to cast whilst in wereform?
I have never used Armageddon is it an effective attack? or should i just stick with maxed synergies for fireclaws?
thanx

Unfortunately Armageddon is not a synergy of FC, otherwise you would always invest in it. Now you need to choose between +440% extra damage and a nice fireworks show. Armageddon is not really more than that; it doesn't really hit things often enough.
Unless you want to do something different I think the choice is pretty simple: go for the synergy. Or invest in Lycanthopy or Oak Sage for survivability.

Not only is Geddon hard to aim but deshifting to cast it is a major pain in the rear end . You can stay shifted for almost 5 minutes game time - Geddon expires every 20 seconds ......

You can cast Armageddon in werebear/werewolf form.

Armageddon at any respectable level is good if you intend to fight in close combat. It's a low (or high, when properly tuned) damage field around your character. It will often turn a monster to a one hit kill vice two.
My Fury Druid uses it to good effect. To increase Armageddon's time from 12 sec to 20 sec, I used the fissure synergy; now Armageddon's end signals my feral rage end. Armageddon will often find lightning enchanted bosses before I've engaged them; it's saved me several times.
Armageddon isn't perfect, but it sure is fun to roll with the sound of thunder.
