View Full Version : Max Block Bone Nec Gear? Is this solid?
So I'm building a bone nec and I wanted some input from the experts. Is the following gear viable/optimal? Where would you improve/change items?
Keep in mind, the necro is a 'GM' max-block pure bone necro, aiming for 125/86 breakpoints.
Tiara: 2 Nec/20 FCR/88 Mana/20 All Res, socketed with Shael
Amulet: Looking to buy a 2/15+ FCR/Stats or Res or Life/Mana, will settle for a 2/5+ FCR if this proves impossible to find.
Hoto, Enigma, Ber'd Stormshield, Trangs, Arach. All standard.
Rings: 10 FCR/19 Strength/14 Dexterity/31 Mana
Looking to buy another one with similar stats.
Boots: A few options - either treks for the 20 FHR, 30 FRW/10 FHR/19 Str/14 Dex which would be the option with the best stats, or 30 FRW/10 FHR/20+ TriRes boots.
Charms: PNB FHR GCs to meet the breakpoint, then lifers. Also life/mana SCs.
This is the gear I was planning on, and obviously there's still some things to be decided. If anyone could volunteer an opinion on the gear, it would be much appreciated.
Ela!
- Pretty much very good all in all.
- If I'm about to start listing veryfied equipment posibilityes that wouldn't be finished today, so, I will announce to you a Bone Necro guide which is going to be posted somewhere around soon as i catch time to shape it; and which is focused towards training one perfect, dream Bone Nec, a Bonemaster.
- Until you spot the guide start working on leveling, as you know you'll need a respectable level.
- And thank you now for reminding me on thatˇ^, i kinda forgot it last feu days...
- Anyway, fast sidenote:
- About the shield; as you see Necro has horrible blocking frames, and no help against that; if you'll PvP :scratchchin: ouch. Other thing also, you loose quite a bit of dmg in comparison with Spirit-FCR..
- Try to consider an option with crown for your king; Crown of Ages. Because, you'll see you have no trouble loading FCR and connecting it with resists+skills+FHR with ~same %DR, if dualBer-ed sure..
- Besides, our main DR is intended to be Bone Armor; which is recastable thus indefinite physichal shield... ;)
- Good start, watch for speed!
EDIT: ou yes, i'm trying to say no blocking, not at all; full vitality instead :)
Thanks for the response =)
I have a pure vita bone nec, and that's in fact the reason why I'm building a max-block variant. It performs very well against casters, but fails miserably against barbs and amazons, in particular.
I don't know if you've gone through the two nec guides stickied right now, but both provide good reasons for going max block.
I like the CoA option, but I dunno if there is in fact enough room to get FCR...I can see 20 from an ammy, 40 from hoto, 20 from gloves, 40 from belt and ring. That comes to 120. If I were to go with blocking, then I would need a wizzy instead of hoto, which would kill my damage.
Let me know what you think =)
- Yes in that case where you'r going specificaly agains 'Barbars' my suggestion isn't pointed in right direction; it is mainly intended for everything 'at the same time' but not towards anything strictly so it may lack some efficiency aginst exact opponent.
- What i'm seriously afraid of is some average 4fpa Zealer/Whirler/or Strafer vs my 7fpb max block, eventualy 6fpb is an opened call for him to hit-lock stunn-kill me and fire a cigar in the my stunned period laughing evil 'n loud. So that is probably the main reason why not to block, in the case i would still go block-route vs 'barbs' it would be an somewhat strange or maybe unusual is the word but my max block would then be 50% :) and i wouldn't relay on it.
Cose in half cases it is very good to have 75%, and in the oher half it's lethal, not vital.
- What might solve half of yours 'baba-owners' is 5f hit recovery, understood you can stand a hit or two you can escape them if they cannot hit-lock->stunn you. Baba Frenzytaur is 5f, where you are not faster but fast enaf.
- Bone Armor can last for a hit at least, in some cases even for two full hits..
- If armor absorbs one full hit and you have ~3000 HPs, and still 40%DR you can easyly stand three to four more, so all in all with the vita setup ~5 nice clean hits :) while most importantly; he/she canno't leve you helpless in one spot and perform his stunn massacre over you...
- Most of the FCR comes from the silly, cheap, and mighty shield 35%, HotO 40%, your gloves 20%, 20% from belt, and exctly needed 10% is Ring1 providing.
- This again carryes some other nice 'bonuses' with it:
- 2 more skills and 55% FHR from the shield
- 'Tiara' with fixed stats for the king has possible 30%FHR, 30%res all, 30%DR, few times the defence and i'll vote for style also; but -1skill
- Ammy with fixed stats and most likely more res, easyer/cheaper Mara
- And at the brakedown you finish without the block, with better resists, double life, and likely 152% 5 frames hit recovery animation. Golem in one and Decrepify in the other hand, to count anyone, even baba&soso teamed...
